Well-

I called every store in Central New Jersey, but they were sold out. Found one in Southern NJ that had 15, but they weren't marked down. Had them for $118.

Seeing as I am stuck @ work in Manhattan, I had my mother and father cruise by Lowe's to "discuss" the price with the manager. My mother can be most persuasive in these situations, so I was cautiously optomistic. Long story short, she was able to procure 15 @ $35 each!

BTW, long time lurker, 1st time poster! What a great subject for the 1st post! And thanks to the OP!

I don't know if the quality is good enough to justify a two hour drive. But I'm going to stop on the way home and snag a couple more if someone hasn't cleaned them out yet. Picked up some in south jersey. Lowes in deptford had 16 but not marked down, brought my receipt to the manager and he said he wouldn't price match. After alot of complaining and telling him I will never shop in his store he gave in, I picked up 8 total!

Well after the web site said there were no units in stock locally, I stopped by the closest store anyway. They had one unit on display at the sale price. None in stock. A store 25 miles away supposedly had three. I headed for that sote, but bailed out. Oh well. I was wondering if Lowes is going to drop all of the Gladiator stuff.

They were marked with the yellow clearance sticker at 29.50. I bought 4. This site has cost me a lot of $$$$$

Well..I went to the store that had 2 cabinets at $29. They were marked back up to $59, and they had several more.

All other stores have them for $59.

I think they wised up to the low price and marked it back up...

Oh well..I probably didnt even need to spend $200 right now..

I am going to try a nearby Delaware store tomorrow morning. Had my heart set on rolling out of there with a half dozen or so too.

Newark, DE is claiming the have NO stock and it is coded to not come in anymore.

Well Lowes had to give the price a little "Alaska Premium", but I still think I got a good deal on 10 of them for $300 even. Oh yeah and sorry to anyone else in Anchorage, I bought out both stores...

I hope you didnt stack these more than 11 high, looks like 13 in the picture! Look at the little label on the box!!

I wouldnt want that stack to come crashing down, could be a mess.

I never noticed a label saying 11 units high, but I didn't look that much either. The stacks are about 11 feet high does that count.. The ceiling is 12 feet. I should get a couple more to wedge it tight against the ceiling.

Hopefully I gonna get them assembled before they fall. But from the time estimates of 15-30 minutes per cabinet in some prior posts I dread a potential high of 13 hours of just assembly?!@

Let's see.....26 cabinets.....each 28" wide. That's 60'-8" of cabinets! That should go down both side walls and the back wall of an average 2 car garage.

the garage is a 3 bay 28x38 so there is plenty of wall space, but you guys will hopefully see what I have in mind if it works out, it will be a little different then just linear runs of uppers around the walls.

nah, $29.50 is the 75% off clearance price. $59 is the 50% off clearance price.


I don't know the pricing history on these, but it looks like most stores went from $118 to $59, then to $29.50 (1/2 off $59). But some stores seem to have skipped the 50% off and went right to 75% off ($29.50).



I picked up 3 at my closest store this weekend, and asked the guy to look up other nearby store inventory for me. One store about 25 miles away showed 14 in inventory- I finally got up there tonight and they had about 10 of them on the shelf that I saw, but the Clearance price was $59...

SO I asked one of the dept managers about it, told him the other store had them for $29.50 and that I had driven there to buy those because I ASSumed they'd be the same price. He said "yeah, I'll mark one down for you since you drove all the way out here".....I told him that I didn't want to take advantage of his kindness, but I really needed 4 of them (that's all I could fit in my car). He said SURE, and he marked 4 of them down no problem.


So, it pays to be nice and patient.

I see you are in the SF Bay area. Last I checked, there were 4 (plus display) at the Dublin store and 2 (plus display) at the Freemont store. At least that's how many I left them with. Didn't check the Livermore store.

Should I go by their corp office and ask them why some of their stores did not honor the 29.50 price?

You need to ask them if they give discounts for "group buys"
