My new wife and I recently bought a house with plans to build a garage to keep our motorhome out of the elements and to give me a place to work on my projects.

We currently have a 40' diesel pusher motorhome, and while it is an older model it was top of the line in 1994 when it was manufactured and is still in great condition. We have no immediate plans to replace the motorhome but wanted to accommodate what would likely be our next motorhome.

We are going to make the garage complement the house in terms of architecture. This keeps the HOA happy as well as makes us happy.

The motorhome bay is 60' deep, 18' wide, with 16' ceilings with four additional 12' wide bays with 12' ceilings plus some storage, utilities and a bathroom. The structure where the four bays are is 28' dep. There will be power, water and sewer connections for the Motorhome to allow all systems to be exercised at home before heading out on a trip

I will move my mid rise scissor lift from the garage attached to the house and install a two post lift in one of the bays. One of the bays will have a drain to allow winter washing of cars.

Just make sure the MH bay will have room for a 14' tall door, you probably already have that covered.

Motorhome Garage Plus 4 = WAREHOUSE!

Sounds like one heck of project, especially with an HOA involved.

Not to hijack this thread but.....

Hpozzuoli any pics of your dad's motorhome from what I can see it looks beautiful.

I will get more this weekend. I am meeting him while he is camping. I mostly took ones showing my lift after I put it in his garage. I couldn't use it in my garage the way I wanted.

1984? Bluebird Wanderlodge. I believe 35ft with a CAT 3208 in her.

What is by the way the "lift" that is holding the Vette in the air? That looks handy place to store old car that is not driven during the winter time.
