5/16" drive ratchet and sockets

I found an old snapon ratchet, driver and a few sockets in some stuff my Dad had. I was wondering where they were used. I know they are at least 30 years old. I will try and get pics and numbers later.

I have a couple old sockets that are 5/16 drive. they are MUCH older than 30 years ago. How much older I'm not sure.

Military mechanical work. Was supposed to keep theft down. Along with 5/8 (1/2) drive and something else for the other drive. Iirc 9/16 drive.

Thanks for the replies. Did Olds or any of the GM brands ever use them? I think they came from an uncle. I also just cleaned them up with a wire wheel a bit and found the three sockets to the right are Cornwell every thing else is SO.

I have some that are true 5/16" square drive. Look like duro, but un marked. Just size. I have lots of the 9/32" stuff and these are larger. Any idea if these are Duro, Herbrand, or maybe Hinsdale.

Cant seem to find out much about them.
