for a bit less at sears.com by 3rd party, but a non-120xp set?
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00992825000P

Nice find! This is actually the older model, part # 81230F and is the 84-tooth flex-head set. The newer 120XP is part # 81230P and is 60-tooth.

The 120XP currently has a higher retail price but that doesn't necessarily mean it's better, they're always jacking the prices of stuff up. Anyway, I'd be curious to know if anyone has A/B'd the 60-tooth 120XP vs. the 84-tooth Flex?

Either way, those 84-tooth ratchets are at an AWESOME price! I'm breaking down and ordering a set.
You can wait 2-4 weeks and get it for $79.77 from Amazon

Or you can do what I did and get it right now from Sears for $76.26 by using SAVE15!

I'd spring the little extra for the 120 set.

i've no proof but i am thinking the 84T might be sturdier - you know the more fancier the design, more moving parts, more chance of failure ... what do i know , just thinking out loud

They're both good sets, but for the little extra cost, why not buy the best they offer?

It's the newest but not necessarily the best. In general 84 teeth is more favorable to 60. I'm not sure what else the differences are besides the tooth count. The 120XP is double-pawl but I'm not sure about the Flex right now...still researching.

Sounds to me like the double pawl makes it drive like it has 120 teeth but the strength of a 60 tooth. I think the 120XP is the better set...Anyone else have anything to add? I bought the 120XP's.

If you didn't need the 4pc set, Armstrong offers a locking flex head that comes 60T and can fit the gearwrench 84T repair kits.

Armstrong is made in the USA as well.

It comes and it goes, half the time it came up at 95, the half at 80. When it showed up 80 I added it to my cart and it stayed there and let me add the $15 coupon.

Got them for $65.74 aswell. Price keeps jumping between 95 and 80...gotta time it right

Damnit! Just had it in my cart at 80, and it changed during the payment process. Bailed out and will wait again. This is crazy...what is up with Sears pricing?

I was able to get the $80 and I used Save15 and also had $10 in surprise points. I had a $25 gift card that was given to me as a gift so I was out the door for less than $35 out of my pocket. Time will tell if they will honor the $80 price.

just did live chat and they are refunding the $10 difference ($91 vs $81). But the live chat said she is processing the refund as reward points, I guess I can't complain, still a smoking deal.

Final deal I got: $91 -$15(save15) - $10 in reward points = $66 Plus an additional $10 in reward points.

Thanks OP and whoever posted the sears link!

I tried as well and was ready to check out. Jumped up $10, which kills it for me. Just going to keep an eye on it and see if it drops back down.

For those wondering on the 120 v 84 ratchets....

The 84T ratchets are actually rated as stronger (190% of ASME torque vs. the 120's 180%). However, the 84T models are known to not be as reliable- they may have a greater strength, but they jam more frequently, lock up, etc (in fact, I've only seen one or two complaints about 120XP's failing/jamming, where as there are several very long threads dedicated to the 84T jamming up and plenty of reviews floating on the internet about it). The 84T head is also slightly slimmer.

180% vs 190% of ASME torque works out to be very little difference in real life, and I'll take the more reliable and better designed 120XP over the 84T models.
