Well - sometimes it takes a lot to excite me.... other times ... less...

Flat packed Patio furniture arrived today...

Imagine my joy , when I opened the box to find , no , not your typical free aluminium quality can tool , no not your Ikea hex wrench made out of recycled snot, but... this :

yes an actual wrench , yes it is Chinese , but I assure you it is guaranteed to be of Snap-On quality or less , and ... it is FREE !! yay , I am sleeping tonight with this under my pillow.

Have you guys found this sort of thing before ? Do you have any stories of an unexpected tool landing in your lap ( no ... actually , lets don't go there ... )

Wow, tough audience ! Mate, I was just surprised and pleased to get a free tool .... What would you rather have me say ?

Ok , moment of truth :

The order arrived and no-one was home. My 3 year old neice assembled the furniture but then sold it all on Craigslist fior $2

Happy now ??

That bit was very funny. I find nothing wrong in general with your defective sense of humor sir.

I got a steam cleaner that came with a surprisingly long phillips #1 to attach something deep in the body. I'm sure they shipped the tool so they could save 2" of packaging or material having it disassembled. It still stays in my drawer, surprisingly I have used it a few times since.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, I guess I was just so gobsmacked to find this , I thought I would share. It really did make my day... I do feel lucky , punk..Perhaps I enjoy the little things in life too much !

Great to see that someone else has a similar score ( long handled screwdriver !) , my find seemed like a rare thing to me- first time in my long association with tools and stuff. Anyway , I googled the Chinese writing on the spanner , and apparently it was custom made for me by a really hot lady that wants to marry me ...


... nah , now I am really messing with you guys ... should not be able to forgive myself ..

Perhaps I enjoy the little things in life too much!

Can be a handy outlook when looking downwards on occasion. Definitely makes a nice change from the usual monkey metal Allen key. God knows why, but I still tend to chuck those things in the box with the other keys on the rare occasion I come across them. No idea why, as I'd never dare use them as you just know they'll bend else round off the first time you use them on owt stubborn/tight.
