I found this vintage tool box and would like to restore it and find the original tools. I found the set number in the proto 1962 catalog. It is for a 1/4 square drive set. What I cannot find is what year the logo comes from. The picture doesn't show the writing but it says Proto Professional Tools. Can anyone educate me?

I think that logo was used from the late 60's to the early 80's.
Hopefully a Protoholic will see this and confirm or narrow it down.

It was that far back? Cool. Too bad they didn't date stamp their boxes like Waterloo and Snappy.

You know what? I might have to revise that date range...

Although that range is the IR era, I can't find an example in my files of that logo in actual use before 1970-1971:
