I live in sw Florida. In February a local contractor installed a Neogard epoxy product. 70714-3 (tan) base coat with a 70805/7952 top coat with glass beads for traction, with a light broadcast of tan, black, and white chips.
About a month ago I noticed random discolored brownish spots of varying shapes and sizes. From a couple of inches round, to a couple inches wide and up to about five inches long. I have about 10 different spots that I see so far.
I have seen water spots (from the car’s ac) get brown around the edges, but those just wipe up.
These appear to be below the top coat in the base coat.
I keep my overhead door closed all the time, and because of the random sizes and location, I doubt that this is uv related.
My floor was about 6 months old at the time of install. It was a new pour on a new construction spec home that we purchased in December. The floor was ground. No water, acid, or anything else was used to prep the floor.
My contractor has no idea. We are waiting to have his sales rep come and look at my floor.
Anyone have any ideas as to what might have happened?
Here are a few pictures.
Thanks!
