I fell in love with Proto "chevron" wrenches after exposure to them starting 14 years ago. They were the only Proto wrenches I used for quite some time, and I love the feel of them. Not as square and clunky as Craftsman; more streamlined and graceful. I just bought a mostly matching chevron style Proto combination wrench set on eBay, and the 3/4" wrench has star patterns where I'm used to seeing the chevrons. It actually looks really cool! Everything else the same as the chevron, like polished center.

Anyone else have these Proto "star" wrenches? Ay history?

With a set of those wrenches you also got the blue and gold atomic starburst pattern melamine dinnerware service for 8.

I haven't seen that variation before!

CRH - I'm trying to finish off a set of those chevrons. Have you got a spare 3/8, 1/2, 11/16, 7/8 or 1"?

Plombob, I do have an extra 11/16. I probably paid way too much ($10) for it.
