Looking for opinions on shingle color on a red garage.

Siding will be CertainTeed 'Autumn Red' color.
White garage doors, window trim, soffit & fascia.

For shingles, I'm looking at Owens Corning Duration Architectural shingles. Please take the poll with this thread, and and if you have other opinions, write them in a reply please!

I have the same siding and color siding on my house. We went with black roof. It looks good IMO.

I went with Estate Gray on the house and garage. It's dark but not as dark as the Black Onyx, which I went with (in 3 tab) on the west side of the garage when we first bought the place.

Here's what the Estate Gray looks like, albeit with different color of siding.

Not bad, but I still prefer the Onyx Black with the Autumn Red.
The Estate Gray does look good with that light tan/grey siding that NUTTSGT posted though.

I had black and on my reroof last month I went with a dark gray. Black didn't stay black, was very hot and has less life expectancy than lighter colors.

First choice for a new roof on a building that is near an existing one is to match the color. Second choice is to go with black. Black always matches black so there are no variations.

I do have a color question..... Everyone complains about black shingles causing hot attics, so how come I never see any white shingles?

I have Timberland Architectural shingles, on my house & detached 24x30' garage.
- added curb appeal

They look awesome, sorry my cell phone doesn't show the true colors &/or contrast.
- shades of gray (about 75% coverage) with about a 25% blend of reds

A Black Metal roof would fit the bill on that style garage.Seems to be more and more popular in a suburban type setting these days.

I think you mean Timberline,Timberland are boots.
I have the GAF Timberline Slate color, but I think black would look the best with your combination.(OP)

Resurrecting an old post, but I just wanted to say I went with the Onyx Black and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
