Thanks to this forum I've added a new tool box, and a boat load of new, nicer tools. My old tool box will get cleaned up and used for misc tools, specialty tools and what not. For me this is quite an upgrade over what I've been using as I've been rebuilding my 97 4runner on my own in my home garage. I'm so thrilled to have found this place to get such great leads on a ton of good deals on great quality tools and can't wait to start using them all in place of the items they replaced.

Still have a whole bunch more williams sockets, the craftsman 5 piece pry bars, craftsman ball peen hammer set and a few other goodies in route.

Please feel free to post your own box or tools that this forum caused you to buy !!!

That toolbox is gorgeous. I love those orange cornwells.

Thanks. It was a great craigslist find for sure.

Got a new lock and key set from Cornwell today also so I can close the lid now as needed. :)

Do you mind me asking what you paid for it?

Not at all. I got it for $450 cash and 1 oz of silver so roughly $472. Prob a little high and more than the HF 44" I was thinking of, but I liked the shape and style of the cart so that carried some weight in the decision.

That cornwell will last a lot longer than the HF 44" and it looks a lot better. Doesn't look like you're dying for more room. I'd have done the same thing!

I think it's funny that it says "HURRY" sale ends November 2nd. LOL

If you can't make it to the store by Nov just give up.

Nice box ScottsGT. Those boxes have a ton of room when you add the top and cab pieces. I came really close to going that route.

You talking about behind the checkerboard? If so, it's a storage loft. Front is about 4' deep and runs the width of the garage at around 20'. The sides of the garage are about 18" deep and runs 22' down each side.

Here's some pictures during construction. Checkerboard just hides the clutter of Christmas decorations, coolers, luggage, and other misc stuff. Sure has changed since I first built this a few years ago. :)

Nice box. Liking the 4Runner as well! Did you buy or build the bumpers and sliders?

Thanks. Bumpers from a company called CBI Offroad and sliders from a company called Stubbs Welding.

Nice! Really digging that orange! The 4Runner is taking shape too:thumbup:
Had to laugh when I saw the thread title, this forum has caused my to buy 4 different new Snap On ratchets, a set of screwdrivers, some sockets and a KRSC43 cart in the last three months:bounce: my snap on driver should write a thank you letter to the forum haha

Behind/below, yes.

Check above for build pictures and I just went out and snapped these for how it looks now. Just disregard the clutter as I'm in process of organizing and cleaning.

Thanks, man!

Sure thing. It was a great project and holds a tremendous amount of storage. Only thing better would have been if I had higher ceilings but beggars can't be choosers. :)

I see you've made sure you have a paddle to hand for if you're ever up the creek. :D

Ha ! Never thought if it that way but good point. However if you always stay up the creek, a paddle may not help much. LOL
