This is probably my least organized drawer, but still my favorite. It, has such a useful random assortment of stuff, I can't help but smile every time I open it

Oh I didn't I got the liner from foamfittools.com. He custom cncs liners for people and has all the craftsman all measured out already so I just told him the drawer dimension and said I have the 299-pc craftsman socket set and the 21-pc drive tool set and he cut it out and sent it to me. And it really was not that expensive especially when you calculate how many different rails or Hansen trays I would have needed.

I've actually used his drawer layout, to use in my personal box.

After revising his YouTube videos, a hundred times or so, I've actually bought a few tools based on what he has.

Crazy thing is, he uses that jewelry box, every day.

I don't know about this favorite drawer stuff, hmm. Well my favorite drawers are the ones I am wearing.

What I like to do is, to take my favorite tool, and put it, in a nice box.

In fact I derive much great pleasure, from doing just that.

I like to get my favorite tool polished, but I don't like to do it myself. I like to use it hard and put it away wet. I don't lube it, it gets lubed with use.

Nothing impressive, but I use this drawer more than any other and it gets the job done. The small stack I have cramps a lot of things, even with the bigger bottom drawers, so drawers like the socket one are a challenge to keep organized.

Here's mine...the top drawer in my new Extreme 72" box:

And just to the right of the Craftsman ratchets are two 1/4" ratchets. One is a Powr Kraft 84W4758 that has been in the family for as long as I can remember, and it's my favorite tool of all time. I like that little guy so much I bought a Wright equivalent on Ebay so I would have a spare. The Wright has a knurled knob to change direction rather than a straight bar, but otherwise they are identical.

First thing, was the Frankenratchet. I'd never heard of that, but now I use that HF jewel without fear. When I checked out, the HF cashier smiled and said, "I know what you're building. I've got one too! "

Then the Gearwrench ratchets came in. I had never treated myself to those. I now have a set of 120's which I picked up online for a steal.

The Mac ratchets were after that, and I haven't been let down one bit. They feel comfortable in the hands, even after a long day of wrenching.

I bought the locking extensions, and I haven't used them much, but the few times I did, I like their utility.

A few other things, but mainly- your organization is the most valuable thing I picked up.

As I said in a different thread, I showed your video in a company meeting, and instantly, I saw my crew organizing differently and taking better care of their tools.

You're setting a good example for your son, on taking care of the things that mean something. Keep it up.

So my question is, when is the next video coming out?

I clean my tools every 3rd use or so, depending on how dirty they are. Usually just a rag and simple green.

Probably would have to be my metric spanner drawer, Australia Sidchrome double rings from 6-36, Aussie Sidchrome double opens from 4-26, Aussie Sidchrome combinations 6-30, Snap On flank drive plus 10-27, and I believe I have a 36mm Gedore combination, and 24mm Stahlwille flogging, and 5.5 combination.

Im in the market for wrench rails but not sure what to buy. They will lay down in drawer so need easy access. Had a couple in the past and didn't like them because it was a carry style. Really held the wrench to tight to pull out of the drawer.

My buddy has some that he cut out of 1/8" steel on a CNC machine... Better than any I've seen for sale

I really like my Ernst rails, that's what I have in the picture above.

I just kept the gearwrench ones that came with the wrenches. They're more suited for wall hanging though.
