I bought a box of tools at a local yard sale for $75. How did I do?

These are all SAE

Never heard of this brand

This whole set is metric

This thing is surprisingly strong for its age.

On a scale of 1-10

10 on finding some very nice items.

2 on finding the correct thread, unless you just had to be your own little snowflake. :dunno:

Another suckage award.

The socket you don't recognize is a New Britain which was an excellent brand of tools sold by NAPA At least through the 1960s, not sure when they were bought out. In the late 60s
New Britain brought out a cheaper line called Sparta which was good, just not as highly finished.

Some Craftsman tools in the 1930s were made by New Britain. The Alloy Artifacts page has a discussion of this.

Justin, only 5 posts and you already have a you ****!

There is a "2014 garage sale" thread most people put there finds in. Its one of the first many of us look at. If I don't have much time I usually look in that one and the massive vise thread.
