IMHO I would go for it, I am not sure what their retail price would be new but they look in not to bad a condition.

Thanks, they are about $2000 each new which i thought was CRAZY!!!

He was asking $100 each and went down to $160 for both.... I made a final offer of $140 for both or $80 for the small one.. I will let u know how it works!

Plastic medical grade carts are special duty built and have to be made to be easily sterilized. This means no greases, open bearings or other areas that can gather contaminants. Casters have to have sealed bearings. They are very expensive.

BUT.

Those things that make them so nice in a medical clinic don't make them suitable for a garage in my opinion. They don't handle weight well. The tool they were made for are very small and light weight. Only a few per drawer. Plastic bearings or slides only. Dry self lubricating plastic like Delrin are common.

It's great for hobbies, sewing, model building, art supplies or inside your house. It's not something I'd want for the garage where it would quickly get destroyed in the environment.

Now I could be wrong- there are some carts that are aluminum with plastic skins, and they can handle the weight, but they would normally be a lot more expensive.

I would pass.
