Got my package today, no shipping notice, it just showed up. Super thrilled with the way SK handled this situation! I'll be throwing some business their way very soon. And I'm very impressed with the wrench, I've got some of their other tools but this is my first SK wrench. Very nice finish on it, and I expect its strength surpasses its good looks. Glad I could "barter my info" for this package [emoji16]

Radrush- you are ridiculous beyond words. I'm sure if SK ever has to deal with you as a customer they will regret having your info. I have to deal with clients like you every so often, and when I do they get the @sshole tax- I nickel and dime 'em on every little thing I can for being such a pain. SK handled the situation spectacularly; I'm sure there was some fine print on the sign up page that allowed them to end the promo at their discretion, or while supplies last, but they went the extra mile and not only fulfilled their promise but threw in some bonuses and an apology/explanation letter. And I have not received one bit of spam from them either, even though they have my info. I also tried to get in on the Klein promo for the sample power bits not long ago, and no hate on Klein- I love their tools, but I got all the way through filling out the info only to reach a page saying that they had reached their limit... but they still proceeded to put me on their mailing list. Just be glad you didn't give your solid gold turd of contact info to them.

Got mine yesterday! Good on SK for handling the increased demand in a spectacular fashion! I'll make sure I do a little word of mouth marketing to my technician friends about what a quality company SK is to deal with.....thanks OP!

OK sheepeople, roll your eyes all you want but facts are facts.

1. I traded my name/address for an advertised promotion object; that's called bartering. The agreement was: you give us your name/address/phone/email and we give you this hat. The agreement was not: you give us your particulars and we give you whatever we want.

2. "Bitching" I think not; I'm simply making an observation.

1. Again, you seem to be a little slow on the uptake of how the bartering system works. I paid them with valuable contact information that they saved into their database for future reference.

2. I never said that I was upset. If fact I am not upset; I'm simply making an observation.

And that observation is: SK advertised one thing and they delivered something else. That's a fact; no amount history revision, obfuscation, outright fibbing, or feel-good mollycoddling on your part will change that fact.

The offer was for a catalog, and a hat. An address was provided so they would know where to send them. An address isn't all that valuable. There's a big book of them that gets printed every year.

S-K advertised a catalog and a hat. That's what I got, along with a wrench and some wipes, so I guess you are accurate about them advertising one thing and delivering another.

Who said anything about hating SK? AFAIK no one hates SK. I made an observation that they can run a hat promotion about as well as Ray Charles plays lawn-darts. There is no link between a simple observation and hate.

SK is in fact a very well run company; uh, this fiasco of a hat promotion not withstanding.

BTW, I bet I get that hat. Out of stock my ***. :)

Radrush- you're the kind of customer I'll happily lose to my competition.
Best of luck to you. Good luck in a cold world of "bait & switch" tactics.
Buh-bye now.

Sheepeople. Very original.

I'm sure if you send your box of free stuff back, they'll be glad to delete your valuable information from their database.

I could not submit my information online so I called them and they could not be more professional and took my information by phone and told me they will submit it right away.
It is interesting that good service is becoming rare rather than the norm these days :)

got mine the other day and was surprised to find a 19mm stubby wrench! It's nicer than my other wrenches so I think I'll have to save up for SK next time I need some wrenches.

How many of you guys would be seriously interested in an "SK Day" event in the future, once your wallets have cooled down from Epstein's Day?

I might start a poll in the tools section to track results.

Got mime too. Forgot all about it and was surprised. Kudos to SK. I still have my SK combo wrench set from High School days and really like them. I will buy my next set of wrenches from them based on how they handled this. My recommendation would be for those of us that do just that to let them know that you did it for that reason. Positive feedback is more rare than gripin'

+1. Customer service moment right here. If you're wrong, even when it'll cost you thousands, just fix it. The critics will appreciate it and the fans will go stark raving mad.

Thanks for the swag.

Just got my package today as well.My wife started tearing into me,asking what the hell I ordered.I had forgotten about the SK deal. Was glad to get the hat and catalog,as well as the 20mm wrench. The wrench was a good fit as I already have a set of U.S. made stubbies from 8 to 19mm.They're mismatched, with a few Williams,a few Kobalt and a few SK.I'll definitely take a close look at SK next time I can sneak in a tool purchase.

Did anyone else receive a Craftsman branded wrench? It is clearly made by SK but I found it odd considering that Craftsman now has these made by Apex (China). Perhaps old stock.

Got my stuff yesterday, the letter made me lol. I sure wish I had a 10mm stubby instead of this 20mm though. I already have a large metric stubby set that runs to like 24mm or so, but it only goes down to 11mm... I need that 10mm, and I doubt now that anyone will trade since there are 400 million 20mm in circulation now, lol...

Got my catalogue, hat, wipe, and 20mm stubby (21mm would've been more useful bc I already have craftsman stubby set).

Do they sell direct? Seems like some distributors would be miffed at the thought of this.

I don't think so, but tooltopia often sells S-K under list.

I don't have a local S-K dealer anyway unless you count a local parts store that will order stuff for me but doesn't stock anything.
