I am a day late, as I had a family emergency to deal with yesterday.

Home Depot clearance, was surprising.

uploadfromtaptalk1406518295859.jpg

Two stubby 5/16" flat blade Husky screwdrivers, on clearance for $1.97/ea.

Two, 2pk of cheap HDX adjustable wrench sets, for $3.00/ea.

Also was able to grab the Husky 6n1 screwdriver display case for organizing ad hoc stuffs in my garage.

Lowes Clearance, was light but good.

Crescent Double X, plier set. $9.98

4- Elusive Kobalt Wrench Organizers, for $4.98/ea.

Long Phillips Kobalt Screwdriver, for $0.98.

5/8" Kobalt Twisted Wrench, for $2.98

Altogether, no more than $43.

I need one of those! Those sockets are so helpful. How much was the Sunco?
I got a price for a Snappy and it was 72 bucks.

*Sunex

It was $25 off the Matco truck so you could probably find it for less online I would think.

I have one of those that I got in a box of old tools - what does one use it for?

J

Use it anywhere you would a standard adjustable, but it has a much bigger opening. That one opens up to 3-1/8". I picked it up because I had a few plumbing fixtures that were too big for my 12" crescent, and I wasn't real happy about having to use a 14" pipe wrench on them, which chewed up the brass a bit.

How do you like the mac tools?

I like their ratchets and sockets. The particular ratchet I got today is only 30 tooth count. Not the greatest if working in a low clearance/access area, but I've always have had a unexplainable fondness for Mac ratchets. I do however also own Snap On dual 80 ratchets as well.

Picked up a new unlock tool today off the MAC Tools truck.... I usually buy these from Access Tools in Miami but this was convenient.

Got these in the mail today, courtesy of a member of the board who was kind enough to buy them from his truck for me and mail them across the country. Can't beat that with a stick.

Picked up my Gearwrench 21-25mm set from Sears that I got with the random $136 in point s rewards I had on my account. Have a Gearwrench screwdriver set and the Craftsman 5-piece Gasket Scraper set on the way from the same points.

Congrats man!

I've got an identical saw to that. Picked it up from the estate sale of a co-inventor of the barcode system. Thought I got a deal at $45, but you got a smoking deal man!

The middle scraper. I had my snap on guy order it for me and it seemed way too long so I ended up cutting it down and putting the handle back on.

Very nice! He had it on craigslist as best offer, he a garage sale and I couldn't' get there before it ended. I called and asked if it was still available and he said it was. Asked him on a time to meet and he said he was gone but I could go over and take a look at it. So, went over that night and got it. I asked him what he was wanting and he was thinking 40, after taking a look at it and some of the functions not working at the time(angle adjustment and fence) I threw out an offer of 25 and he said yes. He was very cool and told me to send a check in the mail, so I am getting that out today.

I have basically pulled the whole thing apart already and put it back together. The Fence was not working, took it apart and made some adjustments and she is working good at this time. Needs a repaint for sure, and the front circle knob needs to be fastened on as the set screw is missing. So, I can not pull out and turn for the angle adjustment.

Trying to decide what to do with the stand. I can repaint it for sure, but not sure if I want to try and do something different(aka, move motor below on a shelf(instead of behind) and add a cover so the saw dust doesn't just fall on the motor). Its just real bulky right now and it would be nice to save some space and have a smaller footprint.

How'd you get the handle off? Just put the shaft in a vise and pulled it?

A) Where did you get it
B) How much was it, if you don't mind me asking
I have been looking for a decent price one for a little while, but all the ones I have come across have been too expensive

Harbor freight. 19.99

^ This.
It is not listed on the HF web site. At least I have never seen it.
I happened to find one walking down an isle. It was the last one on the rack. It is surprisingly good quality and COO not PRC which is a plus.
