Got the fittings in the mail. Next gotta get air line. Here's how I am setting it up. Need a jam nut though so it stays tight.

Joey....just a suggestion, but you may want to back your plastic plates up with a metal plate. In doing so, you won't be pulling on just the hole, but you'll be distributing the pull on the complete plate.

I was thinking about that, using that to support it as well ad spacing. I have 4 of these sets, so I'll have to make 4. Thanks for the advice!

I was thinking the same thing about cracking the plates. Are those the standard cheapie plastic switch plates? Those things crack with the outlet screw. ( that's what I get for being OCD and requiring they all fade the same direction...). They make nylon plates that are supposedly unbreakable if you have problems with the weight of the hose ...cool look though!!

Those are the "unbreakable" ones. They have a white support thing behind them, but don't think that will work. I'll still try to use it.

First two panels installed and first air outlet test fit. I did buy a blank steel outlet cover to help support the air coupler.

Started on the other side today, most of the right wall is now done. No fun by myself and will all the **** in garage but the HF low profile jack helped.

$35 later and got $200 plus worth of slatwall hooks from the local store supply place. Also have about 30 skinny hooks they call picture hooks which I am modifying to hang cabinets.

Bought some bolts and mounted up one of the cabinets. Just had to cut the tab off of the "utility hanger" and it was fairly easy. Also bent and cut two of the pegs to hang my garage garbage can.

Well, got some bins from HF. Was fighting to buy Slat Wall ones, but these were much cheaper and made them work...

Cut a peice of wood for four rows of bins..




Painted it with some of HF's bedliner spray.


Realized the bins were 5 bins high, not four, so had to adjust for that.


Installed slatwall mounts.


And put up the bins...

Also took advantage of the Father's Day Sale at Home Depot and picked up the 33 Gallon Husky Quiet Compressor. Definitely quieter then my brother's 26 gallon Husky... Also love it's dual fitting, one for use at the compressor, one for hooking up to the garage lines.

Not the while the whole thing. I have a 10 wall above my work bench at the moment and two more 8x4 sheets to figure out where to put them. Ha. Did you cut some hangers down for the plastic buckets? I may have to steal that idea. Ha.

Few updates, although not that much going on with garage build, need to get someone over to help me cut down some of the sheets to fit the various odd sizes spots...

Did however organize the garage a bit, got the Dakota back from bodywork and hoped to pull it in the garage, but that didn't happen.

Found this guy hoping in while I was cleaning it that day, let him go in the stream behind our house:


I did do a few little projects.. One being that I bought a small garbage can for recycling, and another that I threw a decal on that I made, so I can toss dirty shop towels in:


Also painted my HF paper towel holder and glove holder black with their bedliner spray:


Last but not least, I made a trailer for my lawn mower out of a $10 CL wheel barrel, framing from slatwall and my brother's broke down snow blower:

Got about 25% of the ceiling's insulation up tonight. Gotta work on my Dakota's breaks, so no more working on it for a little, as a big car show is coming up next weekend.

Good progress on the garage, I like the trailer as well. Maybe you could add a hinge and make it a dump trailer?

I'll just take the pin out and dump it. I can still use it as a wheel barrow. I thought about making a hinge, but I wanted to do this as cheap as possible.

Brother came over and helped me remove the aluminum inserts, cut them along with slatwall and put up two sections. Still more to cut and hang.

Had to move over the last full sheet because they cut crappy, and this way I can hide crappy edge in corner..

Well between work and car shows, haven't had much of a chance to post on here, nor get much done in the garage, but I did manage to do a little. Picked up 100' of air line and hte last 2 fittings from my buddy and got the air plumbing done. Just have to button up anchoring air lines to frame of garage when insulation is done on ceiling.

Ran the slatwall down the wall behind the slatwall... Ran out, connect to push to connect..


Pushed into slat wall..


Done!


Corner one: One next to my furnace, which is where I think I will be either putting storage or a work bench..


Corner two: Corner where I will be putting the compressor permanently when I am done hanging slatwall..


Corner three: Front left of garage.


Corner four: Front left corner of garage.. Notice compressor has two ports, hense why I bought this one. Also, ran a valve to kill pressure before disconnection...


Also, mounted the air tool holder I bought to some of the slatwall peices. Need to get shorter bolts for it though..

A one owner, low mileage, bone stock 97 Reg Cab Hardbody. I am currently running a static drop but plan to bag when my new place is built (I have two other cars on bags, so it's killing me to wait to bag this mini).

The truck is slow (automatic)... but I love it so much. I feel like I'm 15 again lol

Get shorter bolts? You have a much quicker solution hanging, third tool from the left. Judging by the air hose to the right, I'd assume compressed air is near. Problem solved in less than 30 seconds.


Oh, and to contribute to the thread, here's my bottomless money pit:
