To apply the epoxy 100% solid epoxy on my floor, the manufacturer recommends emptying a gallon on the floor in several places a use a roller !

1 - I have to apply 3 gallons on my floor (700 ft square) (30 minutes per gallon), does i have to use a new roller for each gallon ?

2 – should I buy a cheap (9) rollers at $1 each or at 5$ each ?

3 - how choosing the right roller for 100% solid epoxy?

4 - what is a the better, a roller 3/8”, ¼, or ½” ?

Thanks

1) No. Someone can be mixing the 2nd batch of epoxy just as you are finishing rolling the first. This will allow you to keep a wet edge at all times.

2) No. Buy premium lint free rollers. Wooster makes a good epoxy roller. Run the roller over a strip of duct tape first to remove any excess lint that might be present from the manufacturing process.

3) ??

4) Usually 3/8" is used for 100% epoxy, but check with the instructions from the manufacturer and go with their recommendation.

Are notched squeegees available locally?

I used some Wooster rollers that was made to roll paint on concrete from Lowe's.

oh gotcha,

OKAY ! your thing says texas !

Where in ON? are you near or can get to the GTA?
If so, Steels paint in Woodbridge, do the full kit

Spiked shoes, notched squeegee, (depending on what you want) they do a throwaway squeegee; or a framed one and separate blades

The frame and Blade is about 60 bucks, think the throwaway ones are about 20 bucks

Oh, Ontario Canada, not Ontario California (Ontario, CA)

I use 18" Wooster Epoxy Glide rollers exclusively, they work terrific and I never have shed issues.

Wooster PRO/DOO-Z FTP 3/8" or 1/4" also work very well!

You can order the squeegees from MidWest Rake. To a test run with water to get the hang of the squeegee. You'll be clumsy at first, best to get the hang of it before the real deal.

As Behwah says, grab a 18" roller and cage - just to make it easier. ITs half the work of a 9". Wooster rollers work great too!
