My local Mark's store must have bought a NOS box wrenches close out. I
They are selling them for $.99 each. I just got these for less than $7. The 4 williams are offset and the other three are deep offset.
I probably will never use them but, oh man, did I enjoy finding them.

Letsgobowhunting,

Are you referring to Marc's, the chain of closeout stores in Northeast OH: LINK?

Which Marc's location did you buy those sweet wrenches?

Thanks,

Dave

ravenzfusion,

Which Cleveland Marc's store has the new, old stock wrenches you referenced above?

Were there only standard size (no metric) wrenches available?

Bahco was a well respected Swedish hand tool manufacturer before Snap-on purchased them. Now, very few, if none of their tools are produced in Sweden.

Walter is a German hand tool manufacturer.

Britool was a well respected British hand tool manufacturer. However, Stanley purchased the company and moved production to Asia.

You can find out more about Bahco, Walter, Britool, and other European tool manufacturers in the "Tools From the Old World" thread (LINK) created by super member "Monte". :D

Thanks,

Dave

Thanks for the info. I think they were all standard. I do remember the Walters had "made in germany" marked on them.. I will have to get another look though. There were so many at the Middleburg Hts location. I have also checked the parma midtown location and the Brookpark Smith road location. Those 2 also had them, but not nearly as many as Middleburg. Some of the wrenches at Brookpark were single wrenches in plastic sealed bags. I don't know where Marcs buys some of their stuff sometimes, either they get a lot of junk or some good stuff like this wrench deal. I may have to make the trip to the Amherst location in which the Original Poster found them for .99 each. I'm also expecting them to lower price to .99 at their other loactions. I will make as many sets as I can and box them up for all who is interested.

I'm going to wait until the price gets lowered on them before buying any. But when they do, I will get quite a few sets.

Marcs in Avon, Ohio has them for $1.99 also. Some larger open end wrenches too. They also had a box of sockets. Looked like black oxide finish, impact type but I think they were all the same size. I think it said "Israel" on the sockets or some of the wrenches.

What a score for those J H Williams wrenches! Better than any wrench made in the last 30 years! They will last till the end of time! IMO! Best tools ever made!
