PROTO New & Used Wrench Lot - Updated 3/23/09

SOLD! SOLD! SOLD!

EDIT 3/23/09: Added the 7/16", so set is complete 3/8" to 1-1/4". Also, replaced the 9/16" with a much much better example. Same price! :) See 2nd pic.

Hi Everyone!

Have some New and Used PROTO wrenches for sale. It would be a set, but some of the wrenches are older. All have the typical shuffle around the tool box wear, some very little, some quite a bit. They have the satin finish with chromed ends many PROTO's come with.

1-1/4" Near new/Never Been Used/Flank drive box end.
1-1/8" Open end light use/flank drive box end.
1-1/16" Near new/Never Been Used/Flank drive box end.
1" Good used older wrench.
15/16" Near new/Never Been Used/Flank drive box end.
7/8" Near new/Never Been Used/Flank drive box end/Open end chrome has small factory flaw/speck.
13/16" Near new/Lightly Used.
3/4" Lightly Used/Dab of yellow paint on engraved initials (hard to see in pic).
11/16" Lightly Used.
5/8" Good used older wrench, worn finish.
9/16" Good used wrench.
1/2" Good used wrench, has initials.
7/16" Good used wrench, 6 point.
3/8" Good used older wrench, has initials, is shorter relative to the other wrenches??.

Gotta fuel the PLOMB fire  :) , with some $$$.

The 1" wrench has a # of 6132 on it, different from most Proto combo's this size, with 1232 on them.

Wonder about the odd numbering??

The 1" #6132 is from the Challenger number system. Challenger combos are listed with #6***. P&C has theirs at #27**. For what ever reason the Proto is marked with Challengers 1" number.

I would like to know about that 6132 wrench also. Can't find that number in any of my Proto catalogs. The 6100 series of numbers is usually Proto torque wrenches. The closest number I can find to that is a 6133A in the 1992 Proto catalog and it is a 600 ft. lb. dial torque wrench.:headscrat
V/8

Edit: didn't see Nordstars post until after I posted the above.

Thanks.

Definitely a PROTO, no Challenger anywhere on it. It appears to have a bit more steel in several places compared to the modern wrenches.

I now have these in 1/4" -1 1/4".

I was missing 1/4" and 5/16". To get the missing 2 I had to buy a set of 4 wrenches on ebay that included 3/8" and 7/16" which I already had. So now I have duplicates in 3/8" and 7/16".

My 1" has 1232 on it which is a Proto number per my 1998 catalog.

Very nice! I love Proto wrenches. I only have a handful of Proto Professionals, so I wish I had the dough!
