I applied this Monday my 100% solid grey Epoxy + chips
The next day I applied the TOP Coat (Clear Epoxy) (maybe a 5 mil thickness)

I am satisfied almost everywhere except my floor was a place have excess of CLEAR !
Result (a place with a diameter of 4 inches) CLEAR has about 40 mil thick?
What is the best method to remove this excess of CLEAR?

Here a link for my video (45 seconds):

I found another place that I forgot to put the CLEAR (Top Coat), 12 "x 8" !
If I put the clear in places where it is missing, is that this will be very apparent ?

You need to sand it down to remove the excess. Its then going to be white, so you'll need to feather in some -same where you missed.

ITs going to be super tough to conceal it, but if you feather it in gently, you might be OK.

Hopefully its going to go behind a cabinet, or fridge or something which make it more hidden.

I'm confused. Are you hoping to use the car buffer to take down the puddle of clear, and make it not noticeable? Or after you sand and brush on new clear, you want to polish that out to try to blend it in?

I dont know the answer! I'd love to know the answer actually. Maybe I'll try it on my floor. I'm about to redo my floor. So I can screw it up, before I remove the current coating to re-do it.

I'm going to say it wont work though. Based on what I've learned over the years, its not going to leave the finish the same, as the rest of the floor, making it a noticeable repair. IT will probably leave the area too smooth, and perfect.

I'm just to trying to found a solution to erase this excess of clear !

Maybe use:
1 - an electric sander on first step to remove excess nearest of chips !
2 - use delicately and accurately little bit drill to create an irregular texture (as does the chips) between each chips on second step ....
3 - and a car buffer and/or use this technic as this video for a third step to obtain a gloss with flake texture:

Is it a good solution ?
Do you think I'm going to worsen this default ?

Note that I applied my epoxy 3 days ago and that a full curing is not reached!

Thanks

You can try it, but its a lot of work. Its crazy detailed work too. Cmon, drilling between flake to create texture. I'd sooner sand the whole floor and recoat!

Just sand it down, and re-apply with a brush, feathering it in. IT might not be perfect, but it will be 90% good.

Shaun,

If I understood, you suggest me this:

1 - sand with an electric sander on first step to remove clear excess and chips nearest of base coat !
2 - apply clear a chips to create an irregular texture on second step ....
3 - wait 12 hours and apply clear for a third step to obtain a final finish like the rest of my floor !

Does I forgot anything ?

Thats your best bet in my books.
