Magnesium? For the love of God don't catch it on fire.
Just don't use a cutting torch on itI hope by now the OP has either applied some JB weld, or paid someone to fix it for him.
Uhm, you do realize tig welding and heli arc welding are the same process, no?
Magnesium is actually fairly simple to weld repair. Back when I was into vintage MX, I did a good number of repairs on those old cases, most of which were a mag alloy.
Magnesium is a whole different process to weld on.The newer GM transfer cases are magnesium now.The Stanley Bostitch nail gun housings are magnesium too
No one here uses a carbon arc torch?
