Indestro's cool to see and all, but I don;t know why anyone would use it professionally. There's no reason to be using anything that pre-dates the invention of flank drive when you're trying to make money.

I wouldn't put an Indestro box end on anything other than a hook on the wall where it can sit and be looked at.

I like them. They fit pretty well for me, but it's all preferences.

Sure, they fit fine. The problem is that they grip the fastener on the corner rather than on the flat, resulting in more rounded off edges. Even cheapo Chinese wrenches today don't do that. It's obsolete technology.

I forgot to mention, they have been ground on the bottom by the previous owner. This may be why they grip so well for me.

Monomach, not all of us think that way. I've had regular and off-corner type wrenches and it doesn't make a real difference if the user is even slightly careful.

My favorite wrenches happen to be DOE style, technology a full century obsolete in your world. I'm not flat rate, never will be but those wrenches make me money anyway. If fact they've been doing it for years now. I have other options where these may not work the best too.

Love your SO FD+, its your right. Meanwhile each of us will have our favorites that may or may not vary from that.
There are a lot of options out there to be had, I've tried as many as I could find.

How about some of the Bonney that had the first generation (?) attempt at something like Flank Drive? I think it was on some of their box end wrenches as well as 12 point sockets. May have only been in 12 point although their 6 point might have had a small radius in the corners that could only be seen with a magnifying glass.

I think Snap On claimed Flank Drive to be a (up to?) 20% improvement and may allow thinner walls because of less of a start for cracks.

nobody is going to argue that there are advantages to some sort of off corner engagement but............

he never said he was using them as a pro and so what if he was. some of the best tools i own are old and no longer made and frankly my flank drive snap-on wrenches are about fourth on my list of go-to wrenches.

if that is your only criteria, then frankly i don't know what to say other than some of your comments of late have been rather odd.

I really want to try some koken and nepros. I think one of my favorite brands has been Triangle. They have some neat ideas on their tools.
