The title says it. I've been talking to a contractor about building a garage/shop on my property. I don't have a great deal of room to work with, unfortunately. It'll be 20x25ft if built. His estimate is about $21/sq ft. No electricity or insulation, just sticks and metal sheeting on a slab. Anyhow, I need a place to house the motorcycles so they're not relagated to the front porch.

Wow, I guess we are almost neighbors. Just about the only reason I have to go to Springdale is the HF store. Have you worked with any of the garage or home builders in the area? Ideally I'd like to build a detached garage as that's the easiest and least costly way to get a shop building. I've started looking at all the repairs my home needs and frankly, If I do them all and build a shop, I'm maybe a third the way to building a new home. Even with all the repairs, I still have a really old house in an undesirable neighborhood. The only upside to staying here is the lack of covenants.
