I almost forgot this! This was from Stop 1. The larger knife is what I bought; It's a Schrade "Old Timer", and next to it is my daily carry knife for grunge work. Same model, smaller size. the new one looks NOS, certainly it's never been sharpened!

the big ticket item: A beeman pellet rifle, new she claimed her (deceased) husband never fired it, and based on looks, i'd agree. With the case, the box and the second .177 barrel!

That is a sweet air rifle!

Picked up some micrometers a 0-3 Mitutoyo micrometer set and a brand new Williams 3/4 drive ratchet for 30 bucks total.

OK, A 2 post day for me to get all the pics. 3 planned stops last was the Col FM. Good stuff at all three stops (and nothing at any TOO's) Overcast morning, sun came out just after I got home.

First stop was the big one. I spent $122!

Findings have been pretty miss for me recently. Good to see you guys are finding some really nice stuff. Made it to two sales early this morning. Was totally worth it. Actually passed on quite a few good deals as I just didn't need, have space or could transport (Ex. misc tool boxes WELDED together, needing quite a bit of help). $20 total spent. Every once in a while a blind squirrel finds the acorn. Just glad it finally stopped raining. No regrets?

Really? I've never seen one in person yet. And you find one for less than $20.
We will have to talk more about the "actually passed on quite a few good deals''.....
You can always list the extras for sale here,Craigslist, or eBay. If word gets out that we don't actually need,want or have space for those tools,the women will buy more shoes and household goods.

Sailing is really winding down around here. What's left is estate sales and unfortunately most of them are professional (ie overpriced).

I found this cabinet for $25. It's original purpose was to store 35mm slides. It's really built like a brick ********* so I'm going to use it for parts/tools. (16" X 16" X 12") Here it is after the miserable task of cutting out all the slide slots:

Thanks Outlaw, that ball pein is cool, I have an Ampco brass mallet with a handle like that and the Beeman is a killer find, my fave is probably the Old Timer though Great scores!!!

The seller said his daughter bought him a "bigger" grinder so he was parting with them. He wanted $10 each which I gladly paid. The one on the right is missing the wheel flanges and neither had the quench tray but they're otherwise complete and run fine.

Twins to boot. For a 20. GREAT. I'm still waiting to find one at a decent price, never mind a killer price.

Can't go wrong with a nice USA Schrade....one of my favorite carry knives. Nice score on all your items...do like that Beeman a lot having dual barrels.

Some nice finds this weekend guys, a little bit of everything.

I think it's supposed to improve grip but mainly it just looks cool.

two stops today on different ends of Metro Detroit.
First stop netted the license plates(trade fodder for Jerry),the small Crafts man 4 drawer hardware cabinet,the Craftsman hip roof carry box,the Simpson meter and the file card box all for $45,not the best pricing but I was jonesing to shop.
Second stop all I could find was the roloc/scotchbrite discs for a total of $3.75.
This stop was also close to my nearest HF so I bought a couple of the new ratchets to try out.

Today's theme was "2nd chances".
My first stop was the honey hole from yesterday. There were some spud wrenches that I left behind and they were haunting me. The second stop was a honey hole from 2 weeks ago. I had found some great stuff there and wanted to see if there was any more. The third stop was a yard sale that was cancelled without warning from yesterday. I drove out there for nothing the first time, but today I was in the area anyway so I decided to give them another try. After that I went to the FM, but came up short.

I'm really glad Outlaw told me not to blast the threads.

I masked them off, but some grit got inside. I had to blow them out and flush them with oil a few times.

Sunday flea this morning.

Couple of retired machinists dealing goodies.

16oz.vlchek ball peen made in Cleveland,O USA for $3
Near mint C'man USA vice grip for $4.
Taiwan knurlled 3/8" long extenrion , 3/8" universal swivel joint by Proto Challenger USA and Vaco USA wire strippers for $3 for all.

Set of SAE/fractional taper and bottom taps and dies. USA made. Taps have custom made delrin nylong block holder. Dies all USa and custom wood holder done on the cheap with a forstner bit.

$15 for all.

A few older Winter USA taps but most are nearly new USA.

I'll use them at the home shop so for the price it was a steal for me.

Picked up a couple of secret goodies for my secret santa as well.

Bluebolt, I bought one of those NAPA creepers brand new in 1968. I still use it, but it makes cracking noises each time I put my weight on it. Of course, I weigh 100 pounds more than I did then!
