I would go with a Bosch jigsaw. I have a 1590 that is about 10 years old. They've revamped the line since then but haven't heard bad things about the new models.
If you're only going to be doing light edge profile work, it would be hard to beat a Bosch Colt 1 hp trim router with a 1/4" collet. You can a plunge base for it too.
For heavier tasks like cutting dadoes, I like my 2 1/4 hp Bosch variable speed router. I have the fixed base mounted in a router table insert and the plunge base for freehand work. This router has both 1/4" and 1/2" collets for plenty of versatility and plenty of power for household work.
Take a look at Amazon - they're having a $50 off $200 Bosch sale right now. That might allow you to get into better tools and still hit your $200 budget if you can do them at the same time.
