They bought a summer home in Northern Az and as a house warming gift, I assembled a toolbox of tiools that I either no longer wanted or just spares.

I want to replace all of my screwdrivers. My only requirement is that they be of good quality and made in the USA. I am just a garage hobbyist who plays with cars and such.....

Anyone have a good recommendation for a nice set of American made screwdrivers that will last forever? :)

Thanks,
Marc

They are discontinued but you can likely still piece together a set of craftsman pros. Sk comfort grip are the same ones also.

Proto makes some really nice screwdrivers also that I believe are usa made.

Buy the set on ebay from proto! They are the Duratecs are around $80 but they are worth it! If you are looking for something cheaper then go for the husky set at home depot. For around$30 they are 'merican made.

Thanks guys....Will look at Proto.
I just did a srewdriver remodel and chose the Protos and a set of Hazets.Get the ol' man the Protos. He'll recognize that name.
Hazet sounds like some kind of Cult College event to the un-addicted tool junkie :p

Masterforce is USA made, I have a few I like them so far. They have almost everything, slotted, Phillips, clutch, torx, SAE/Metric hex, nut drivers 24 inch stuff down to 1.5 inch stubby. The only thing I know I have looked for and not found was a tack puller.

Planning on selling my hard handle USA Williams set (Snap-On black hard handle style). Bought on a whim and realized I didn't want to beat on them like my old Craftsman and Protos. Haven't even used them (honestly no need for 4 sets of screwdrivers, haha). Have some stuff to clean out of storage and put up for sale in the classifieds, so I'll have the set together tomorrow. PM me if interested. Don't expect a 50% discount, but I'll get them shipped for less than I paid for them.
