I recently got a pair of these pliers and thought since I had them i could do a quick test for you guys. One was last minuet at work the other day so I just tagged it onto the end on the video.
Feel free to let me know if I should do this any other way or if you'd like to see it preform in a specific test

Thanks for watching!

Thanks, and as you asked in your video, I won't beat you up about the scientific testing because your showing real world testing, but you have got to shorten these videos.

14 minutes is way too long, and when you bring the wire or spring up close to the camera its not in focus anyways.

Nice video! I enjoy your practical tests better than a scientific test. As you said, it's more real world.

I really wanted to like the crescent brand pivot-pro version of these. Every time I was going to Home Depot i'd fondle them, especially the linesmen pliers. I could squeeze and flex the linesmens enough to get the handles to touch, which was unacceptable to me. I ended up getting some Klein linesmen pliers and the Knipex mini-bolt cutters and called it a day.

The diagonal cutters look handy, but there isn't much they can do that the knipex cobolt cutters can't. The long nose pliers, on the other hand... they might need to join my collection someday.

It initially was shorter until I tagged the other video on the end of it. Also Im using my phone at work so it doesn't focus as quickly as my actual camera. On second thought maybe I should've just made a completely new video for the second part. Still working out some stuff, bear with me :)
Thank you for the feedback tho this gives me things to work on

These are pretty beefy so I don't think you'd have that problem if you ever decide to get them

Yeah those cutters are pretty radical. Knipex is my next purchase and I can't wait lol

Listen, check out the crescent compound cutting diagonal cutters and lineman pliers.. They come in a set for like $20-$25. They make matching needle nose pliers too.. I probably have half a dozen lineman pliers and cutters at work, these are by far the best and my favorites.. I even bought extra sets just in case I can't find them again.. They are well worth the money and better than every other compound cutters I've tried.

Yea I even bought the dewalt sets when they came out.. The problem with the dewalt is that they will NOT open up wide enough to be versatile.. The crescent set on the other hand has detents that stop the handles at a setting for good one handed use, (they are spring loaded) but you can open them up past that setting to a point where you need both hands to close the handles again. It's great for gripping wide objects and trying to cut through metal straps on the wide part of the strap.. I can't say enough good things about these.. They use to be for sale in Home Depot and Lowes., but these days the only place I see them in the store is Sears, or online on Amazon. Bought my last cutter/plier set on sale in Sears for $18.. Couldn't pass up another set at that price..

The ONLY bad thing I can say about them is that after a while the grips start to come loose and twist under heavy cutting.. I just roll with it, knowing the thin rubber on most other things just rips off anyway..
