Field service storage advice,veto tech pac vs ???

Hello all, I have been reading from this forum for quite some time and finally decided to join up.

As you can tell from my name, fixing rotary air compressors makes me the money. Being a field service tech, getting tools of my trade to compressor locations can be as easy as parking next to an exterior mounted unit, or walking 500+ yards to location.

I've been wanting something better than my old clc square tool pouch for my electrical troubleshooting bag. Really curious about giving the tech pac from veto a shot, but I haven't seen one in person, and am concerned about getting all my drivers into the bag in pockets they would work for.

Now I work on compressors from 5 to 500 horsepower, both oil flooded, oil free, and variable speed. Tools I carry in my pouch, are mostly wera, fluke, and Klein.
I carry a set of wera chiseldrivers, wera nut drivers, and wera tamper proof torx drivers, amp clamp, megger, strippers, cutters, pliers, Allen keys, ir temp gun etc.

Not as much concerned with the price of the tech pac, as I am with my OCD driving me nuts if I can't make my stuff work neatly and readily accessible in the bag. I've read a few reviews from what seems to mostly be hvac techs, and they seem to me, loaded pretty light compared to what I have in my pouch.

I'm drawn to the fact I can strap the bag on my back, and carry parts, my iPad or whatever else I may need, and I like that the bag stands up straight. Any advice?

I have the Veto XXL-F and LC. They are hell for stout and have great organization possibilities. They should have what you need, and I know they just came out with a couple of new models that should work.

Thank you, anything else on the market make you wish you'd have bought a thing differently? And if you don't mind me asking, what type of work do you do?

I have had a veto XL for over 5 years now. Abuse it daily, they are hands down the best tool bag I've ever seen. Prior to the veto I would go through a bag a year, I've had em all...love my veto! I really like the new tech series they have, been considering getting one, but I can't justify it as mine is still fine. You won't regret it, get one!

Good to here you guys enjoy yours, the tech pac really interests me, I just hope I can let my OCD arrange my stuff how I want it. My clc pouch is cramped and drives me nuts, carry handle is torn, folds over my screwdrivers(notice the use of a #12jic hose to hold it up for picture purposes), and hate when it topples over and I have to search for all my stuff in the back of my service truck.

Retired, and doing all kinds of work for family and friends. The LC is my electrical bag. I bought it, but couldn't justify the XXL-F, but I got enough Amazon gift cards for Christmas that I splurged. The XXL-F is for general carpentry type work, but holds enough other tools that I can do pretty much anything around the house with it. Read the reviews of their products, they are good. I was in a museum one day and spotted an electrician doing some repairs. He had the LC, and was very happy with it.

I have the veto lc, veto tech pac and veto tech lc. If I had to do it all over again I would get the LC.

Your tools won't be as accessible as they are with your current bag as you'll need to open a zipper.

It's also fairly heavy, so although you can carry it on your back, I wouldn't want to!

I thought I had some photos of the thing filled with tools too, but I guess not. If I remember, I'll bring it home on Monday and take some shots then...

I always liked the look of the Klein ultimate Tradesman Pro myself, cheaper and I personally like the fold down wrench holder... But Ive never known one up close. Look on YouTube for some good walk around with one

I would prefer having a zipper, I hate pulling up to a job and opening my camper shell and all my stuff rolls out on the parking lot.
