Might be a nice box for someone. I'm pretty sure it is only a 27" box. I just can't stand those twin drawer pulls. They look to be in good condition though.

That is not a bad price. I think MAC also had similar boxes.

From what I've seen/heard, it certainly appears that way; I believe they share the same manufacturing facilities for them? I think a lot of MAC stuff tends to be re-branded Proto.

If I had a need, I'd jump on that. The twin handles were the norm on Matco, Mac and Cornwell boxes before the advent of ball bearing slides. The bottom two drawers on the roll cab are an unusual arrangement.

BFM: not sure if you are selling or buying or just letting the Forum know about these Proto boxes. care to share??

that top box could find a spot on one of my benches any day and that bottom roller is nice and doesn't seem to have any rust at all either on the box or on the wheels.


priced ok in my book.

After looking at it again, I think it might be a 33" box. It is certainly a Waterloo made box, has the signs. Actually it looks to be identical to this craftsman.
