Finally, today's score. With the sales getting fewer and further between, I had to go a little further, into the Big City. Estate sale run by a company with a name I hadn't heard before...Yet the folks running it looked familiar. Advertised tons and tons and tons of tools, plus a (early '80s?) Craftsman top-and-bottom toolbox set "filled with Craftsman tools". I never even looked at it-for the price they wanted, it had better have been filled with gold bars.
What I did by didn't come real cheap, but I got some really useful (if mundane) stuff for the garage that never made it to the "studio" for photography. I paid a total of $185 for everything, including what's not in the photos:
Craftsman 1/2" Drive socket set, SK long bit driver, KD brake tool.
Matco Metric and SAE DBE sets with rolls.
Craftsman 3/8"-1-1/4" combo wrench set in its roll. When I got home, I discovered that the owner had slipped in the next 3 smaller sizes, too.
Finally, a Walden 1/4" drive socket set, with a few extra Craftsman goodies thrown in (the flex extension, u-joint, and 2 sockets at the bottom of the photo).
I'm already dreading the long, tool-free winter.
