Do you still have the old 87iii? If it is suffering from the fading digit syndrome, PM me. I'll let you know how to fix it. It's basically a free fix.

Thanks alot for asking. But i tried the eraser trick it worked but happened again. So i shipped it to fluke and they upgraded me to the new 87v for free.

Cleaning with solvent works better but sure as hell can't beat a free upgrade.

I did that several times with my Fluke 83, but then I found the replacement display on eBay. After buying it on eBay, I found it was less than half what I paid from Fluke. Go figure.

Yeah its a ratcheting wrench set. They are pretty long and have the fd+ open end. Specs are 5 - 100 ft lbs for the new techangle.

picked up a bunch of stuff over the past few

Ha! The day before yesterday I was speculating together with a buddy of mine what the weird Y-shaped bit in his set could be used for. On this picture it says 'wing nut' on the case, so I was right!
Already sent him the pic

So you do use them? It looked a bit gimmicky to me, just to fill up some empty space. However, I rarely encounter wingnuts myself, maybe that's why..

LOL>

The "Y" bit also works great for installing or removing small eye-hooks /eye screws and tea cup "C" style hooks as well.

I've used it far more on eye hooks/eye screws than wing nuts due to the wing nut flanges being too wide.
