They actually discontinued the ct4410 a little while ago. Now it has the 18v ni cad standard. Guy in my shop just bought one in green.

I'm quite fond of the 4410, myself. Just put one together yesterday to take to work and bring my Blue Point 3/8" back home. Sold my last Green 4410 that I used at work when I got laid off. Really like the old Blue Point 14438 cordless as well, they've been great, and you can replace the brushes, unlike the 4410. Only thing that's annoying with them is the detente ball on the anvil, having to line it up with the hole in the socket.
Nice thing about the 4410 is you can get housings, hammer covers, and anvils cheap for them.

Does this take the same batteries as the 1/2 impact? i asked my Snap-on guy and he claimed they were different. I was about ready to buy one until i heard that it took a different battery.

Yes, they take the same battery. Was told there is a notch the needs to be taken out of the 18v battery but for me that was not the case. Co workers 18v nicads fit perfect in my ct4410

Yep, the 18 volt CTB4185 and CTB4187 batteries will work for the CT4418. Same ones they've used for the CT4850/6850 series 1/2" The CT4410A uses 14.4 volts, the CTB4145 and CTB4147 are for those. You can use the 18 volt on there by cutting a piece away from the wrench. I wouldn't do it to mine, but some people have and they claim good results. Seems to me the switch and the motor are not going to last as long. Those switches have electronics in them on those.

Big bummer on the discontinue, I just broke the frame on mine tonight and it looks like it is not available anymore. If anyone has access to a new frame or ct4410 let me know.

Frame? You mean the housing? You can still get 'em. I have some used ones too.

I saw that on the truck. New style 3/8" cordless impact that takes the old style ni-cad 18V batteries.

And Ghostwhite, don't worry you can still send it off to Snap-On for a flat rate repair.

Yeah, I broke the housing right above the trigger, clean break.

I have already sent out the snapon online form to find a local franchisee as was out of state when I bought it.

I'm going to be sad when my snappy gun dies. It is the handiest thing I've ever gotten off the truck. Hopefully they get they next generation Li-Ion dialed in over the next year and quit switching models every 6 months.

Dang, Ghosty! You sure know how to blow one up! Hell, if you're gonna be a bear.....may as well be a grizzly.

I've seen 'em that bad before and they'll flat rate repair it anyway.

It wasn't even the tools fault, it just happened to be in my hand at the wrong time! :lol_hitti

Well it seems like the housings are back-ordered pretty good from snap-on's online store. If anyone has a local resource for housings or a dealer that still has this tool on their truck let me know. I have two housing on ordered but its not looking good.

I have been trying to get a franchisee to respond via snap-on's online franchisee finder with no luck so far. I am a professional tool user so it would be nice to have a local contact but getting 'back on the road' so to speak with my often most used tool would be nice.

Thanks guys.

I'll send you two good used ones for $20.00 shipped priority mail, if you don't care about used. No cracks or holes.

I have this gun as well, been kicking around the idea of replacing it with a Milwaukee but I don't know if that would be much of an upgrade if any
