SK 4668, 3/8 inch Drive, SAE, Standard Depth, Universal Spline, 8 Piece Socket Set (5/16-7/8 inch) Made in USA!

Saw this on Amazon, and I'm passing it along.

For those of you unfamiliar with SPLINE sockets, take a few minutes and do some internet research (and no, I'm not going to google it for you, show some initiative and do it yourself) to see if they're right for you.

For those of you who are familiar with spline sockets and still haven't pulled the trigger, this may be a way to get in the game with some SuperKrome on the cheap. After all, you almost never see 8 pieces of anything SK for $20.

I might just bite the bullet and pick these up. Been interested in having a set, and since these are in the price range of the Craftsman spline set, it's hard to say no.

Obviously these are some older stock, since searching out the SK part number only brings up the Amazon listing and this thread (also found them on eBay for a couple bucks more). Nothing in the current catalog, or any other info on them.

When I first posted this, the Amazon ad stated that there was 7 in stock.
I don't currently have any spline drive tools.
I was on the fence, fear of commitment to the mysterious SPLINE.

Then I looked at the ad again and they were down to 5 in stock.

I can think of maybe half a dozen times I could've used them, or at least given one a try.
So........in for a set!

Update: 4 in stock.

I have the SK spline sets in both metric and standard and love them. I don't use them all that often but when I need them they are very handy. They work extremely well on stripped bolt heads.

Mine arrived today.

While I haven't had the chance to use each and every socket and perform a complete evaluation, they looked fine when I took them out of the envelope.

Cleveland. We rock.
I've used the splines on a few light jobs and they've been fine so far.

If you're looking for more search SK1867, SK4668, and 'USA MADE SK - 3/8 Drive < SAE DEEP Socket Set' into ebay for less than 30 each. No aff etc. I think they're a good deal.

Here's my spline set from the Facom SK era:

Ooooooooh, that set is pretty! SK has always had some of the best chrome finishes ever and it really shows in this picture. I now have 8 of those sockets! Assuming this here deal was the same era. So guys, please post in the future any similar deals on the metric set or deeps too. Appreciate! - Paul
