i do not know much as to values of pliers.... i would say they are uncommon, at best... I would say they should have some value

I have a pair of those pliers by P-C, made by Proto. I've had them since the 1970s-1980s. Father-in-law worked for a hardware wholesaler and had a pair of the Handyboy pliers. One of those things I was always going to buy but never did. No idea where his went, they weren't in his tool box when he died.

I have two. Decent grip, but nothing overly special. Just different.
P&C # was 1234.

I used to have one or two genuine Handi-boys, but sold them. I still do have one of the Chinese copies that Epstein's used to have for those odd jobs around the house.

bought my ProTo 234 new in 1970.... They have something terrible in common with the three slip joint water pump pliers purchased at the same time.... they slip in the joint too easy!!!

I would not consider myself a plvmb proto expert but I have never seen these. If I had to guess if they where rare I would say they are not common but not rare. I would pick up a set if I came across them in the wild :)
