Here's my lathe thread http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=271570 .
The previous owner had cut the wire cord at the motor, that left me with a wire stub and I don't have any idea how it hooks up. Th motor is a Dayton 1/3 hp, 115 volt, the cord was a four wire. What's kinda odd is one wire is red, one wire looks dark gray ( maybe black ), and the other two wires are black. The motor itself has a black, red wire, two of the cord wires were contacted to two threaded screws inside the motor. I hope I have explained it well enough for you guys to understand.
Can anyone tell me why it's a four wire motor, pics, videos would be a great help.
Thanks,
Al
