Panic, the neighbor just offer us a good price for our house and we're going to take it! The problem is we got to be out by June 1. But the bigger problem is I'm going to work (fishing in Alaska) sunday for at least 2 months. I madly moved a bunch of the big stuff today. But Wholly **** I got a lot of **** in a 2 car garage.:shocking:

Oh yeah, we didn't even have the house on the market yet.

Yes my wife definitely got the short end of the deal. I got most of the big stuff done. Tomorrow I'll get the bead blaster and the motorcycle lift moved and start unloading the shelves then the **** out of the attic. But it was a good price and as the prices drop here it's good to have a buyer with no showing or realtor. It's good to have friends also.

Where are you going to be in Alaska fishing? Good luck on the move. Short term **** will be soon forgotten.

Mostly in and out of Homer some in Sand Point. Black Cod and Halibut in the Gulf. But the move will be nice we are moving into my family home which was built in 1884 but has a new 24 x 30 shop I have in another post.

I feel for ya! When we bought our first house in Calgary I had to make an emergency trip back to Manitoba for a funeral. Wouldn't have been too bad but the funeral was on the weekend we took possession of the house. My wife and her parents moved a bunch of stuff for us, then I finished up the move with a U-Haul (I know...shudder!!) when I got back.

It's great that you're getting to move into your old family home. I've always loved old houses.

No I'm a real fisherman.

I hear ya. Stupid "reality" TV shows like that are the dumbest thing ever. Axe men is even worse, this year they wanted to find some really inexperienced and ill-tempered loggers because they didn't get enough "action" (read as: injuries and stupidity) last year.

I work around a lot of true watermen and fishermen, and lemme tell ya, I have a huge amount of respect for what they (and you) do on a daily basis. What's your target species?

Walt if I am reading this right you are selling a home and moving into a familly home that I would assume is payed for if that is the case I am pretty sure I would be sitting in a lawn chair sipping a cold one watching the movers pack my stuff carefully for me and then unloading it at my new location. I loved moving while I was in the military easiest moves I ever made :D.

Yep that's it except I'll be on a 65' boat bouncing around the Gulf of Alaska catching around 450,000 pounds of Black Cod and Halibut.
