I picked up some 6/4 outdoor cable today to make a couple 50a extension cords for my welders, but I would like to avoid using the right angle style. What I'd like to find is a straight plug of this style with 3-prongs....

...to fit this style of plug:

Does such an animal exist? I have looked on Google, but my searches have come up empty.

I sell them at work. I work for a honda generator dealer and we have a catalog with all the different options for connectors.

First of all, you wasted money on buying 6/4 cord, you needed 6/3.

The straight blade is Arrow Hart part #5710N...250v, 50A, NEMA 6-50P

The OP will be doing himself a huge favor if he takes that 6/4 cable and puts 4 prong turn lock ends on it. Then he will have a 50 amp generator cable. From that adapters can be made to connect to RV's, welders, and even boxes with 120v receptacles in it (GFCI of course). Think ahead and make something that is versatile and useful for many things.

I was looking for 8/4 to make generator extension cord and found what turned out to be two pieces, one about 38 ft and one about 49 ft, on Craigslist. Guy said he bought a E250 from an HVAC guy with all this stuff in the back. In any case, I paid $75 for all of it, and bought L14-30 ends for it. Then I bought an L14-30 end to a T30 RV connector, and made a box and short cord end for my welder.
