Blackhawk reversible ratcheting wrench set

Saw this BW-1400 set on Grainger for $27.55 down from $135. Quantities are limited but I was able to add one to my cart and checkout. With shipping and taxes, came to $41.00. I believe this set comes in a case. Not sure how great this deal really is but thought it was worth a post.

Would totally buy a set if it was metric. I rarely use SAE.

Won't surprise me at all if you get a cancellation email. It has happened with this same set at Grainger in the past. A software glitch shows it as available when in reality they don't have any in stock.

As everyone else has stated, I don't really need these and would prefer that they were metric, but too good of a deal to pass up.

I think you may be right. I got an email with "Your Grainger Order Confirmation is Delayed: This order is currently being reviewed to verify we have all the appropriate and correct information. You will be sent an order confirmation once your order has cleared, unless there are issues on review."

Anybody get an actual shipping confirmation? Thanks.

This smells exactly like another thread earlier this year on a similar set at Grainger, and maybe the exact same set.

Some folks in that thread had a good local Grainger contact/store who honored the price on a comparable set.

Many did not get that lucky. Orders were cancelled.

Am I imagining this?

No, it happened. I bought into that sale as well, to just have the order canceled. For being a larger company, they really need to work on their website's inventory system.

Grainger offered me a substitute set that was priced @$179 IIRC. So on my lunch break I walked over to the Grainger at 150 Varick st in Manhattan and showed them the email. They had the new set in stock and since I am a employee of big brown and they have a account with Grainger I got the company discount which brought the price down to $98 + tax since I paid with my CC.

New set part number is 1wnb7
