Cannot seem to get these adjusted correctly for some unknown reason. It always seems everytime I lift the car at least a couple of the restraints won't lock into place and I have to loosen the bolts, reposition the restraint and then tighten it back up.

The MaxJax instructions don't detail very much how to adjust the restraints other than to raise it up without anything on the lift and perform the adjustment. Well, I tried that, then I put my car on it and I still had to adjust it.

Anybody got any ideas?

What are you calling the restraints? Are you talking about the locks for the arms?

I don't understand what you mean by loosen the bolts. The arms have locks with a pull rod to free the lock once you raise the arms. What I do is position the car and move the arms under the lift points and raise the arms to just before they touch the lift points. At that time you can push the arm left or right to make sure the lock is engaged. If it is way off you can pull the rod up to reposition. I hope this makes sense.

Yes, settle your arms once you're up a little bit and before there is a load.

Always check where your lift pads meet frame, that all arms are locked with the gear-toothed locking mechanisms, and that you're front/back distribution of weight is correct prior to lifting up. I rock the vehicle while up a few inches to see where it is.

I also won't go under without deploying front and rear jack stands after lowering the load onto the safety bars. You end up with six support points that way. Rock solid.
