Hey Garage Journal Gang!

I wanted to take the time to feature one of the lifts we sell and give you guys are real good idea of what a Challenger CL10V3 install looks like from start to finish. Recently I was approached by a member, who shall remain nameless, to puchase a 2 post Challenger. They decided on a blue CL10V3. After seeing the garage, how meticulously it was set up and how nice it was I asked if we could feature the install here. They agreed and the install is now complete. I hope that the pics show you the quality of the American made CL10V3 and our professional installation. Les, our installer, was a little camera shy, but was never distracted from his duties. the process went very smoothly and after about 5 hours it was complete. After cleaning, testing and training, the customer was very happy with his new lift and I'm sure getting lots of work done. I'm guessing the friends might be coming out of the wood work right now!

I came across this old thread by searching for this particular lift. I am about to purchase one once I get a "good deal".
I am thinking about installing it myself with the help of a friend. Is there anything out of the ordinary that I should be concerned with? We were planning to lift the uprights with the help of a chain hoist connected to the top of the shop. Shop has 12' eves and is 14'at the peak, so there shouldn't be a clearance issue.
Any input would be appreciated!!

Thanks, Billie

You can use an engine lift to get it off of the trailer and two guys can stand the posts up with some effort. As long as you measure well, shim the base plates to get everything vertical to the world and pay attention to detail, it should go OK.

Here is mine getting unloaded:

How close to the side wall are these installed? I need to make sure I can take out a driveshaft with out issue. Any input on what that min practical distance would be?

Total Tool thank you for sharing the install the first picture where your installing the shims raises a few questions. 1. where would someone find a set of those horseshoe shims. 2. In general what is an acceptable tolerance for the leveling of the vertical posts. thank you

Do you lose warrenty if you install it yourself? Its a $2000 CAD saving if I get one shipped to the MT boarder and install myself. VS. Buying local and he installs. Acually I can buy a CL10V3-2-DPC for the less than they want for a CL10V3-2 installed
$8501.00 CAD for a CL10V3-2-DPC is nuts! IMO
