Need Quality File Set - Bahco, Nicholson, or ???

Fellas -

Do most of my filing on metal stuff. Car parts and such. Looking for a quality set, but understand many of the Nicholson files are now made in Brazil and Mexico.

I like Bahco's stuff, but I'm only seeing 5 piece sets.

Bahco files are made in Portugal these days if you;re worried about COO.
I have some and they're holding up based on domestic use.

Down here, the Nicholson packaging states they are assembled and packaged in australia.

Same handles as in your ebay link.

The actual files are stamped brazil ... and seem to survive the abuse I give them.

i have a bunch of nicholson files, some are brazil and are holding up fine and get used regularly. im not at my garage to go over the coo's of all of them but i wouldnt be worried about buying brazilian ones.

Ordered the Nicholson 9 piece set with the kung fu grip from Amazon. About $80 with free shipping. Prepared to be somewhat disappointed, but really couldn't find a complete set of quality files at a reasonable price.

I have been looking at a set of Nicholson files on ebay. How do you like the set you ordered?

They're fine. Quality is about what I expected - average. But function is fine; no issues there. I'm happy with the purchase.

When it comes to files, Simonds is my favorite. Just a matter of preference.

Cripe had US made Johnson as well, seems similar to Nicholson.
