My country ***** if i want to get decent tools.

I want to slowly buy a few facom, wera, nws tools, but i can't find a good place to buy single items.

Example: i was searching for a specific facom screwdriver (AN2x75) and amazon (uk, es, etc) doesn't have it. fr does have it, but it comes from a few different stores. Decent rating but i thought i should ask here first.

What do my European friends recommend?

machinemart.co.uk?
oc-pro.fr?

Thanks in advance

Machinemart are nothing special. They mainly sell heavier stuff, and even then it's mostly Taiwanese so I wouldn't bother!

I can get Wera in my local hardware shop, but that doesn't do you much good!

I'd start by getting the MSC catalogue. It's mainly for engineering tools, but they have a good selection of hand tools too, and I know they offer NWS. They are U.K. based and may charge you a little extra for shipping to Portugal but I can't see it being prohibitive! If you talk to their "tech team" they will source you just about anything!

For Facom I'd try looking on eBay U.K. There's a lot of it on there so you can probably find a supplier who won't charge too much for carriage, especially if you can buy a few items at the same time! Bear in mind that many of the Facom products are changing as they switch from European made to much more Taiwanese, and some of the former are getting harder to find!

If you can use Hazet or a Knipex I'd advise www.toolsfromgermany.com - good firm to deal with and they have some Facom too.

Finally, try www.onlyqualitytools.com They have some really nice stuff, again including some Facom, but also Wiha, Felo, Stahlwille and they are really easy to deal with!

I did not know they were changing production from France to Taiwan. That *****.

msc = mscdirect.co.uk? Wnet straight to the screwdrivers part, only sets. will check ebay, i prefer amazon, but will see.

edit: how about motorsport-tools.com?

Not so good for the brands you mention but good otherwise. For the Stahlwille stuff I bought they were the cheapest. I'm in England.

Must recommend this also, very fast service and affordable prices at least on wera, knipex etc.

I'm quite sure that if you would contact some of the online stores listed here some of them would be willing to specially order the screwdriver for you.

I've bought a lot of Facom tools but I didn't just buy them because I really liked them. The fact that I've been able to get good prices on them really mattered to me. If I didn't get the good deals, I'd look for something else that was a good deal.

Maybe you might be better looking at what good deals are available to you and choosing from them?

Here's one other option for tools. www.amazon.com will ship tools internationally. I've bought a few things from them and they have a system where you prepay the customs and tax so they take care of it all and the tools just arrive at your door without needing to pay any extra. They even refunded me when the tax was less than I had prepaid. I got some nice Williams impact sockets that way.
