Proto tool box?

hey i found a old proto box for sale, i'm going to look at it tomorrow morning. i really dig the handles on the older boxes. was just wondering if new lock mechanisms and drawer sliders can still be bought for this, since i'll be using this at my job i need to be able to lock it. the guy said he might not have the keys.i think its worth the $100 asking price i just dont know if you can still get parts for them? any help?

Give him the money, I am sure you can get something figured out with the lock.

Any decent locksmith should be able to make key for it; someone here had a vendor for tumblers for all types of boxes... maybe they can point you in the right direction.

That's a cool box!

The locks can be changed easily, you can get them from any industrial supplier.

Ibought a similar vintage used tool box in 1987 for 30 USD from oil company reclamaion yard.
