Not sure the GJ handle of my SS, but he went WAAAAYYY over the top on my items. Snap-On ball cap, bottle of root beer, 3 piece tool/knife kit, some gormet chocolates and best of all, a hand-made, hand painted ratchet rack. To say that I'm in love with the ratchet rack, doesn't begin to describe it. Absolutely AMAZING.

Here's the photos:

Thanks again, SS. Send me a PM with your handle, if you get a chance. The rack is PERFECT.

Thanks to Jarhead0408, I got an awesome Florida Pneumatic 1/4" drive air ratchet. This thing feels great in your hand and am looking forward to trying it out later. Thanks again!

Here's mine. A nice set of Wera screwdrivers, a grease gun caddy and a cool Wright tiny little 3/8" ratchet for those tight to reach spots definitely found in a Toyota engine bay.

I don't know who my Secret Santa was, but thank you for the nice gifts:thumbup:, and have a Merry Christmas!!!!

My SS did some research..

Gunsmithing bit set, vintage aircraft items and a Williams driver..

The notes and the "who it was from" were thrown in the trash with the rest of the wrapping paper, but THANK YOU! to my SS.

Thanks to Steve from CO!!! I'm unsure of your screen name, but THANK YOU!!

I am amazed at what my SS sent me! He put a lot of thought into it going by the note he sent. He wondered "what to send to a mechanic who probably has every tool he needs."

First off was an AWESOME set of NOS Snap-On tumbler glasses! These baby's are sweet.. he did say however that out of 4, only 3 made it. On attempted cliff-jumping without safety equipment and died, lol! I was so excited about them that my wife and i used them for Christmas breakfast. I love "cool" glasses, and this is one for the "collection" (just ask my wife what she thinks of our cupboard, lol)

Next was a a tube of Molykote G-n paste. This is an extreme pressure grease for things like vises, pullers, and press fits. I have never used or heard of this, and I am looking foward to using this on my vises etc.! This is also DOW Corning manufactured. I did a quick search to find I was correct in thinking it had to do with Corning Inc. which is in my "backyard". I live only 15 minutes from Corning NY. Cool!

Last and definitely not least is a Victorinox 1/4 bit ratchet. This thing is sa-weet! My friend bought one of these as a set recently and was showing it off to me. I have oogled over his many times, so this is great! I love 1/4 ratchets, so I look forward to using this little beast!

Thank you very much Steve from CO, and a Merry Christmas to you! You have gone above and beyond!

I'm really glad you liked your gift! When I was looking back through your threads I got the impression that you are one of those guys who is into everything (like me!) so I tried to put together a little bit of everything hoping I'd hit something you really liked! Enjoy- Merry Christmas!

My SS was Zach aka Jeepinerdeep. I realized when I was researching my own subject that I really haven't been active here lately (time slips by fast), so I hurriedly posted in the hint thread even though I think a big part of the fun is the research. Well, Zach read that post and threw in one of the most interesting license plates I now have in my collection, it's a Pennsylvania plate that doesn't actually say Pennsylvania on it! Not sure if that's common or not but I think it's a great conversation piece. The most surprising part of the gift was actually a piece I didn't ask for. Ever since learning of particular thread sizing tools on here, years ago I think, I have wanted a set. I always need them, never have them, and always say I am going to finally get them so I stop making it so hard on myself. I actually have it bookmarked on my computer to purchase. Well, Zach read my mind and delivered. Along with that a couple other sets of nice US made tools- torx drivers and a chisel and punch set. All will be put to good use. Oh, and we should follow up, based on your note I would say there is a chance we may have crossed paths or at the very least worked with the same people. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!

My SS was BFBOB. He certainly sent an impressive haul! Thanks a bunch! It was also educational because I got to research and understand the vintage wrenches a little better. It's super awesome. I had a blast.

A tool bag, cut off wheels and tape for the shop. I have kind of a bag fetish, so that hit the mark. A 2015 Jeep calendar, some nice rigs in there..

Williams No 34 DOE wrench. I was intrigued by the size markings, that's the biggest 5/8 of an inch I ever saw ! So research taught me about the origin of the wrench in Brooklyn, the old timey sizing conventions and the age of 1914-1924- 100 years old ! Cool as heck. Learned a bunch.

And the Billings & Spencer Model G 11 auto wrench. Research ( and a note from Bob ) tell me that this wrench has a production era in the late 19-teens and is indicative of the models later spec'd by the government for the Willys. It's already on my mantle paying homage to Jeep, American and tool history. It will be a conversation piece when my buddy Travis comes in to town.

Glad you like it, I found you liked the vintage Craftsman logo and added my own GJ touch. The DeBrands chocolate is a local place that has went international. Enjoy

Thank you Dodge610!! I'm unable to post photos at this time due to technical difficulties. So, you guys will have to put up with one of my long winded descriptions.

He gave me a Pittsburgh mini magnetic screwdriver bit set. It has three color anodized handles and a dozen bits. I've been intending to buy a mini bit driver set, but Dodge 610 beat me to it.

I also received three Pittsburgh 1/4" drive ratchets. The first is a quick release pear head ratchet. The handle is shaped a lot like a Snappy ratchet. The next one is a composite ratchet. It has a pear head with quick release, and an ergonomic soft handle. The third one is a roto-ratchet with quick release and an ergonomic two color soft handle. My son is jealous of the roto-ratchet due to the green handle. He is a green fanatic.

I also got a cool diamond plate Jeep license plate. The state of Colorado expects me to have their official license plates on both front and rear of a vehicle. So, I'm going to hang this plate in the shop.

Have a merry Christmas everyone.

Well my SS gift came all the way from the land in the north.....Canada.
It's a very nice Milwaukee wire stripper. I am impressed with how nice this thing is. I was planning to buy a snap on one to replace my old wearing out stripper but now I have a nice new one for my box....thank you very much
Apparently the wire strippers are afraid of the dark, it brought its own little LED flashlight with it

Thanks to my SS davesnothere, I got a pretty cool bunch of stuff in a very artfully decorated shipping box and a nice letter. Very thoughtful. Merry Christmas!
I posted pics of my haul on the SS Opening thread.

Checked the post office today. Nothing yet. We however had long workforce strikes at the post office and I expect my recipient to also experience a delay. Unless out is quicker than in!

Thank you to my GJSS (Logixjock) for the SnapOn ratcheting screwdriver! It's awesome!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1419563772.866640.jpg

Glad you liked it, had a bit of trouble scrounging it up at the last minute. My driver misunderstood the text I sent asking him if he had one on the truck, and handed me an instinct flat blade when I walked on. :shocking:

Just for home from traveling.

My Secret Santa is a smart @$$.

Top half of the box was harbor freight freebies.

Then the envelope... then some seriously nice gifts. Many thanks to my SS cheese head.

[emoji1]

And I plan on using the hf coupon!

No worries and thanks for the update. I buy stuff out of the US fairly often and it usually takes a few weeks to get here so if doesn't show by New Years then I'd start to worry.

A FEW WEEKS! I am sorry, didnt know that. Next year if I get an out of the area person, I will ship earlier.
