Has anyone tried swapping the 3/8 anvil out for the 1/2" anvil?

I purchased a used m18 set with a drill and 3/8 impact. I just purchased a used m12 set with 3/8 impact and drill. I have more 1/2" impact sockets than anything, and would rather have the m18 1/2" compact, but really dont want to spend the money on a whole entire new tool.

Just buy socket adapter it will be easier

It can be done the motor itself is the same just anvil is different but be careful changing as taking apart can be difficult

Beside the anvil being different, the whole front housing is also different. So I have to say its Polly not doable without extensive modification and fabrication.. So much so it Polly don't make financial sense.

So not viable... Sorry

Polly want a cracker? :D

I'm sure you can find a buyer for the 3/8" and then purchase the 1/2" or splurge and purchase 3/8" sockets and the 1/2" impact.

You are probably referring to the high torque version, the std torque versions of at least the fuel look identical.
