Here are the pics of my shop before I bought the house. Previous owned rocked the walls and floated every sheet... EVERY SHEET!

I'll post the pics of my fixes/updates/upgrades soon.

It's for sleds, sleds and more sleds. I buy 'em smashed, blown or just cheap in the spring, fix 'em up and sell them for extra $$ in the winter for my personal sled mods.

Floated meaning he didn't line the edges of the rock onto the studs. Seams were "floating" in mid-air.

When you originally build a typical residential structure your studs (verticle 2x4's or 2x6's) are usually spaced at 16" OC (On Center). Drywall is sold in 8', 10', 12' and so on. Your seams HAVE to fall on a stud! Half of one sheet falls on one half of the board edge and the next sheet butts up against it and is fastened with drywall nail or screws.

When two paices meet in the middle it's a recipe for disaster! if you so much as lightly lean on that "floating" seam you will more than likely have a break in the tape/mud.

Ceiling done. Also regraded outside so no more river running through it every time it rains. (PO didn't quite do things right but at least he put it up for me!)

On to mud and tape.

My 30x40x10 shop Update

A lot done since my last post... paint, baseboard, door lift installed, lights, outlets replaced etc.

My stuff is in... time to clean and organize. It's getting fun now!
