Hello, I got $15 in points at sears, I would be willing to spend $25 total including the points. I got all my bases covered but is there anything there that is really good to keep my out for?

You might want to take a look at Craftsman 42 piece 1/4 and 3/8-inch Drive Bit and Torx Bit Socket Wrench Set (Sears Item# 00934845000 | Model# 34845). I would never pay the list price of $99.99 but they have had it on sale frequently for $26.99-29.99. It comes with a good variety of torx and hex head sockets that I have found can be quite useful with newer cars.

I also recently got Craftsman 17" Plastic Hand Boxes (list is $15.99) on sale to use in a couple of my cars to hold some basic tools. Have no idea how they will hold up but should work for my purpose for a long time since I will not overload them or move them much. Mostly I just wanted something to keep screwdrivers, pliers, assorted wrenches, battery post cleaner, gloves, etc. contained and ready for emergencies.

I have been eyeing that bit set for a while but they ended up raising the price since the last time I was in there so it was around $42 I think

just wander around the pliers section hopefully you will get lucky and your store will carry channellock or Knipex. I really want to try some Knipex pliers but I only know of one local store with anything stocked, and it's way out of my way so I can't just speed run there when I have points to burn...

As far as I know, most Craftsman pliers are still USA and quite nice.

They also have a $20 set of 6 point RP combination wrenches I'm thinking about picking up.
They're online only though. If they aren't big sellers, they might still be USA.

Agreed w/ pliers, I guess I just assumed that everyone already had pliers of at least USA C'man quality already.

I gave two of the 3 piece sets (channellocks, slip joints, and needle nose) for gifts because two different people specifically mentioned that they didn't have any at all, and for $25 on sale (which it was the week before xmas) it's a hard value to beat but if I were replacing one piece I'd probably buy channellock brand.

Which RP 6 points? I have most of the metric ones but only one or two SAE.

Here's the set I'm looking at.

If they're USA it looks like a heck of a deal. China would mean lobster claws though.
I don't mind Chinese wrenches, but Craftsman China seems to leave a lot to be desired.

Edit...
I just noticed, "shipping temporarily unavailable" and not available for pickup within 50 miles.
I didn't notice the shipping unavailable before...

Tap and die set that had been on sale for $35

It still is, but my local store doesn't have any in stock - and I wouldn't order it online unless someone could verify that they are HSS. Price seems too low...

you can see COO is china on the taps if you zoom into the picture. Couldn't see a HSS marking though

that reminds me though, I picked up a German made ratcheting tap wrench at my local Sears last year for not a lot of money. wish I could remember the brand...

Actually some of the newer China made stuff looks like the old stuff other than that lack of "Forged in USA" stamp on the backside. Unfortunately I see the same from my location as you :/

Metric set is unavailable as well but maybe someone will find one in their local store

I got a $15 gift card for Christmas. Wife had just bought something over there, and she got a $5 off any purchase off anything greater than $35. And blue jeans were on sale - down to $30. Snagged a few socks to get over the limit.

So, I walked out with a pair of jeans for about $10 plus tax. Not tools, but useable.
