UPDATE:

I'm sooo excited. I spoke to the retired CEO from Wissota Bench Grinders, Bill Schuessler today. Great guy. He told me everything about my grinder. He was really excited I had one and said they were the favorites that he ever made.

1.) They made their own stones for them
2.) The motors are super efficient and UL has them listed at 4 amp but under full load they will pull 6 amp
3.) Wissota used low diameter motors so the 7" wheels would stick out beyond the motors. They couldn't put a .75 hp motor on this because it was too big a diameter.
4.) My bench grinder was manufactured in 8/2002. They stopped production 6/2003
They made VERY few of these and even fewer for snap-on. He was shocked I had one. He didn't even remember making them for snap-on.
5.) Right shaft has 3 bearings on it and the shaft is one piece with the motor, pretty cool right?
6.) He strongly guards against running a wire wheel on the extended shaft due to the poor quality and balance of the wire wheels made today. He feels it would shake too much with a modern wire wheel.

I cannot use this for my vises so this one is being consigned to EBAY to find a new home.

See BJ42s post. It ain't cheap, sorry in advance for being greedy. On Ebay there are closed regular grinders by Wissota for close to $300. Please don't throw stones at me. I've got vices and three kids in College.
