Well, if everyone thinks I am off base, then I apologize for the thrash.

No Shocker-I too was offended by garageguy's pile-on name calling and he sure isn't objective on this topic. No one likes being called "Sucker" in a public forum.

GG is uncool to rub it it our noses.

My 3 cents

Stargeezer,

There's no need to make personal attacks against garageguy, regardless of what he said. Commenting on his grammar, calling him uneducated, and speculating on his character is a bit in bad taste, wouldn't you agree?

In the future, don't let such remarks get to you, and relax a bit. Remember, it's only the internet and some things are just not worth getting worked up over.

Now, let's get back to the subject at hand - how the epoxy floor guy played us and ruined our lives.

Wow this thread is still here and not locked either amazing. I am very leary of giving out my info for anything much less some contest from somebody I never heard of before . I did enter the latest gear wrench contest ( they are a proven national company ) . The garage guy may have run amuck at the mouth without engaging his brain first . I wont hold that against him I have been known to do as much.

I'm not worked up actually -I thought it was fair to back up Shocker; as I shared his view. The garage floor guys seem to all support each other..

I did say GG could have a good heart. He did call me a sucker. First! I might add. This the type of reaction you get when you do that.

I perhaps will modify my post since you are offended by it.

and yes-we should get back to the subject at hand - how the epoxy floor guy played us and ruined our lives. Thanks for the laugh on that line...

Oh, alright then, just making sure. And I wasn't offended by your comments - I just wanted to help avoid escalation by playing the role of the neutral party.

Oh, for the record... some of you know that we are not selling to GarageGuy. I want to make it clear that the only reason we are not is that we weren't ready to sell to residential applicators when he inquired. We just couldn't offer him the kind of pricing he needed for small orders and it made more sense for him to purchase locally. I just wanted to make it clear that he is not one of the pros on this board whose business we have refused.

Wow, You got to be kidding me. Holy ****! Please quit making yourself someone you are not. I have never solicited your products and services. Matter of fact;

Hey Garage Guy,

I'd like to talk to you sometime about our products. Obviously, they are user friendly if they can be sold to the DIY market with the kind of response that we've received. Rather than tell you how good they are, I would rather just get some in your hands. Give me a call if you'd like to see if our products really are special. I'll make you a deal you can't refuse on your first order.

Eric (864) 342-9292

I never have and never will need any of your products or services. You and your company are only known here in this forum and contractor talk. Please someone do a google search on Wolverines company. You'll find nothing but forum chat. You are constantly pimping products and now you are trying to make it seem like all the pro's are begging you for your product. Please, your a joke. In my mind you are no better than Amazing Garage Floor Guy.

I have never pimped anything on this site and never will. My floor material (Miracote and Dur-A-Flex) isn't for sale to the public. So please, anyone here try and call them and see if you don't get blown off. I'm not on here to sell or push a product, rather help guide and inform of my trade. If you choose not to listen, Well then I guess you are doomed to a similar fate of some here.

For the peple who still feel the need to attack me, shove it. I don't need to directly insult you by calling you names. All the guys who followed the pied piper "Amazing Floor Guy" know in you hearts that you got suckered. Thats not calling you names. That is stating a fact. Now maybe stating the obvious hurts but maybe next time someone tries to sell you holy water and a direct ticket to heaven, maybe just maybe you will listen to those who question him. Some of us where trashed when we tried to sound the alarm about this guy. Now that it came true, you are all pissed and looking for someone to beat up on. Just know its the Amazing Garage Guy that is spaming the hell out of you and most likely selling your info to others, not me. Direct your anger where it counts.

Wolverine, just admit you are full of ****.

Hi GarageGuy,

Over a year ago I had a really nice conversation with a contractor on here who was based in Texas (Floorguy). I wrote that thinking that you were that contractor (Floorguy). I just hit your profile and noticed that you are from the North East. This whole time I've been trying to reconcile the poster here with the nice guy on the phone.

Anyway, I was wrong. It's FloorGuy who seems like a really good guy... Sorry for the confusion...

I'll go back and edit that post and take out all of the information that I wrote thinking that you were Floorguy

Oh well, I'll just stick with my oil soaked concrete floor; included in the concrete mix iis quite a few beers kicked over during some late night wrenching parties...

That beer floor coating is the way to go - if you drop a nut or screw it sticks to the floor where it hit and you don't have to go searching for it!

Well, if we are lucky, he banned himself. His post over at GarageRetreat had only one reply from someone other than him, so I think he might be out of business or something like that.

Thanks to everyone who backed up my annoyance with GarageGuy. This is a great site with LOTS of great people. We can't let the bad apples spoil it for the rest.

Taking a look at his site, it looks like a "get rich quick" layout.

Edit: It looks like he has tried an abandoned several projects before... I found seven similar sites and unupdated "blogs".

LOL He talks about GJ here. It was dated two months ago with the title "Forum HATERS, do they impact Message?"

Basically, according to his "blog", he read a book on marketing, bought into a ["get rich quick"] flooring business model, and is installing floors and reselling the same [get rich quick] scheme to others.

OK after seeing the **** he posted on Garage Retreat (did not know that site existed, **** another place to waste my time thanks) BAN HIM

The posts he made over there clearly show he is a spammer and much worse...get him out of here NOW, forget the poll, just ban him.

Now can we get back to the "discussion" between the 2 remaining floor guys, it was getting fun, one of them I don't like anyway so I was enjoying myself.

Wolverine, just admit you are full of ****.

Gosh, I did do a google search on "Wolverine Coatings" and came up with a bunch of stuff not forum related. It seems thegarageguy wrote them off without even giving a thought to trying their product. Not very open minded or professional in my opinion. Sure, he seems happy with the suppliers he is using, but one should always be open minded. Besides, since when does it mean if a company is not huge, they don't have a good product?

It's not hard to figure out who the real "sucker" is here.
thegarageguy comes on here in the name of being a "professional" in the business of garage floors, yet he doesn't act professional at all. IMO, he has hurt and not helped his business here. His business would be better off if he had never joined the garage forum. Sure, we have gotten a few spam emails (easily deleted with the click of the mouse) but thegarageguy has now alienated many here on this forum. If I lived in the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut (not Conneticut:) ) area, I would not consider using him due to the lack of professionalism he has showed here.

IMO, thegarageguy has done much more here to justify banning from this forum. To my knowledge, EpoxyFloorGuy never cussed, name-called or intentionally provoked people the way thegarageguy has.

Why am I sticking up for Wolverine? Because as a do-it-yourselfer that has used many of the epoxy products available to us, I found Wolverine to be a high quality, reasonably priced product with excellent support. I have also experienced the high degree of professionalism that is practiced from Fred at the Wolverine outlet AlphaGarage. I have used Wolverine, Quikrete, Rustoleum, Epoxy Coat, UCoat-It and Griot's Garage epoxy products. Wolverine was by far the highest quality that I have used.

So you are criticizing me for not trying his product? Are you serious? Your a joke.

Besides, since when does it mean if a company is not huge, they don't have a good product?
Please quote me where I said anything about his product being good, bad or indifferent. You cant. Now lets see if you are man enough to apologize.

Really now, if your opinion counted I would ban myself.

To my knowledge, EpoxyFloorGuy never cussed, name-called or intentionally provoked people the way thegarageguy has.

You know your fake outrage is annoying. I think Wolverine is a big boy and can defend himself just fine. I don't care who it is but If they make false claims as Wolverine did I will prove them wrong and call them out on it.

So you bought his product and you are happy. Good for you. No one is criticizing you. Don't be so quick to feel insulted when this has nothing to do with you.

I can't believe more people didn't see or care when Wolverine tried to prop himself up on the back of someone else. I guess no one can see the outrage in that. Please Wolverine, your selling to homeowners, that doesn't make you selective on who you sell to. It doesn't make sense. Is it only me who smells the ********?

Talk about joke. You are really unbelievable!

Questioning my manhood. Wow. Your professionalism just continues to deteriorate.

Are you trying to make your company look even worse than you already have? Looks like it to me.
