Got a nice addition to my TEXACO collection today. I will take some pictures tomorrow as the batteries in my camera are dead they are charging now.

As promised a couple of photos of my latest addition to my TEXACO collection. I got them yesterday, had to drive some 500 kilometres in total to get them but I think they are worth it. Payed only 50 Euro's (some $63.00) for the lot.

Initially the plan was to only collect stuff from the late 40's to the early 60's the stuff with the green and white T in the red star, the style of the era that my indoor TEXACO gas station will have.
But when I started looking at stuff on Ebay I found a lot of awesome stuff with the green and black T in the red star from the 20's and 30's era.

So I now collect TEXACO memoribilia with both the black and white T in the logo.

This week I have a week off from work so I hope to be able to do some work in the garage and hope to have some updates at the end of the week.

Luvem!!! Especially the too bigger ones, nicely detailed. All that for 63 bucks, that was a steal. Did they have any Sinclair stuff. Can't wait to see them displayed in the Indoor TEXACO Gas Station.

Yep, but just getting started. First gas pump I bought was a Sinclair so my new build will be a combination Buick Sales and Service with Sinclair gas.

They will all have a nice place in one of the shop windows, I too can't wait to put them on display along with the other stuff I'm collecting, it's kind of addictive.
This guy I got this collection from only had TEXACO, SHELL and BP stuff no SINCLAIR I like the SINCLAIR stuff too, it even was a serious option back when I started this.

It was 500 km back and forth but it was well worth it for me anyway plus driving is one of the things in life I like to do most, so no problem there

here we are again with a little update. I had to work a lot lately so there was not too much time for my garage hobby so progress was slow.
The two shop windows are in and I even finished one of the two showcases.
At the moment I'm doing some electrical work.

I think it looks fantastic very much with the built in downlight

Thanks for the visit and nice words. It will not be as perfect as yours but yes it IS taking shape although very slowly but there is no rush anymore. I wanted to have it finished before my fiftieth birthday but I didn't make that deadline ..... I'll see....

OK here we are again with a small update on my progress.

Due to all kinds of things going on here I could not do as much the past week as I wanted to do, I know I promised you guys an update at the end of last week but again due to the same things I didn't come around to an update report until now

First finished the second showcase and cleaned up the storage room for some cabinets I want in here. Have to get them first at IKEA some time this week or weekend.

Also some NOT regulation electrical work...

Also did some more trim work...

Also finished the wall with the corrugated metal behind the other showcases....

Here's something you might enjoy Texacoman. Kinda makes you appreciate such things as a modern skilsaw or jack hammer doesn't it. Man I'd hate to be this saw man. Just think if you had that many laborers where you would be with your build by now. ;-)

Cool Video. The new station looks a lot like ours, lobby to the right with 3 bays to the left. The guys washing a car and checking oil, been there done that.

As promised yesterday a little progress update on my project

Two weeks ago we went to IKEA and we got the cupboards for the little wardrobe.
Last week I intalled them without the doors and drawers because I have to spray paint them first in the TEXACO green and red colors, they are standard white now.
I'm going to do this at the very last so there is no risk in damaging them.

What color are you using for Texaco Green?

What color are you using for Texaco Green?

Actually that is an excellent question and a question I wanted to ask here myself.
I know TEXACO used different shades of green on their buildings and in their logo and pumps. I even started a thread in the free parking section with the question if anybody had some color codes for the green and red for me however there were zero replies
So maybe one of you guys know or know a guy who knows a guy that has the color codes or names for the TEXACO green and red as I want to make it as authentic as possible. One of the most important things in a project like this are to get the basics right I think.
Anything you guys can tell me about this would be very helpful and very much appreciated and shortykorte thanks for your visit and your question

I'm working in the little storage room now. Installed some IKEA cabinets and some trim work around the window and some other wood work. Getting everything ready for painting and tiles on the walls and floor. I'll upload some pics soon.

Yes guys, I know I know, I have not posted in my thread for quite a while now and I'm very sorry about that
Trust me I will make it up to you, although there is not much progress in the garage unfortunately. I'm working in the backyard at the moment and have some progress there.
Yes there will be pics, I just have to find some time to make a descent post.

I am here every day several times so I am up to date about all the guys here with their projects going on. I really love this board and everything going on.

I can asure you everything is good over here, even the weather

OK guys here are a couple of pics I shot yesterday evening with my tablet, so quality is not perfect but just to give you a quick update.

Installed some cabinets in the storage room...

I started with the wainscoting in the gas station. It will have a brick look and will than be painted TEXACO green together with the sidewalk....

Some backyard pics, we have light and I started with the ceiling of the canopy. I love how it turned out.

Looks great at night...

I'm going to have to get two cups I guess, and measure the drool Your place just looks fantastic, and just oozes "awesome" on every pic you post.
